1st mod should be taking it out on a trail and getting some experience in the drivers seat off road. It will tell you what you need next. Listen to all the scraping sounds and upgrade those areas, or make it so they don't scrape anymore.
Truth! This is the best, cheapest and most fun advice! Hit the trails and have a good time!

I missed what year your Jeep is, but if you have a 2024 or newer, I'm pretty sure you have wireless capability built into the Uconnect system
I needed it because mine is a 2021 (see signature), but the OP hasn't mentioned. You quoted my post, but I think you are commenting to him. In any case, good info.

A must do mod... wella few must do mods.

Auxiliary battery delete... if you have one.
Locker bypass... if you have a locker
Tazer JL Mini... if you have a Rubicon
Or JScan and ELM ODB tool for lower trim levels.
Tail gate interior release mod... if you plan on camping in the back.

I don't call this one a mod, but it sure acts like one...
A Covosun mesh sun shade. You can remove the screen and reinstall it within a minute, once initial installation is completed. It's the only sun shade that the screen is removable from its tie down structure. You can leave it off when freedom panels are installed and very quickly (less than 20 seconds) install it when they are removed.

Most of what you have listed and others have stated are not must do in my opinion.
More info on the aux battery delete? I did see something about the stop/start button draining the main battery is that what this would be for?

Obviously these are all subjective opinions. For example, I would hate having hood struts, because our hoods fold all the way back to the windshield and a hood strut won't allow you to do that, unless you disconnect them.

CAI on a Wrangler? Absolutely not. They let in more dirt and debris. Stock filter is fine. I have a snorkel for even more protection.

My advice, spend some time looking through build threads, you'll learn a ton from what others have experienced. Mine is linked in my sig.

Spend time in the driver's seat and figure out what you dislike. Go slow, take a few months minimum to start building it all up.

Buy once, cry once. If you know that you want to run say 37s in the future, or you want a big lift, don't waste money on other parts that won't carry over.
Good advice! Trying to slow myself down from buying everything all at once so limiting to one big purchase a month (anything over $1K) and small purchases don't count (under $200) haha

My favorite mod has by far been fender chop with sequential turn signal. Cleans up front so much, especially when paired with a stubby bumper. I got mine through infinite offroad.
Would this work for sport too not just rubicons?

First-day (and second-day) mods for my 2-door JL Sport:

-Removed rear seat (took it out in 2021 when I bought the JL, haven't used it since!)
-Bolt hood lock
-MOPAR key-matched gas cap lock
-JT style grille inserts (MOPAR)
-Screen protector (Amazon)
-Rough Country seat covers
-Bulletpoint dash-mounted phone holder
-Weathertech floor liners
-3M protective film for door hinges
-RokBlokz mud flaps
-Rough Country rear tonneau cover

A little later I also installed an Antirock front swaybar, which is the best mod of all!

Reinforcement clips for the sun visors (the pivot point is weak). Beyond that, of the mods I've done (winch, auxiliary lights, GMRS radio, floor mats, fire extinguisher, tailgate table, etc.) my favorite is still replacing the Freedom panels with a twill Sunrider.

My all-time favorite and most-used is the Bestop Sunrider for Hard tops. It ain't cheap, but it allows me to keep those stupid freedom panels in storage ~9 months out of the year.

After that:
  • Wireless AA/Carplay adapter
  • Dead pedal (I have the Hooke one)
  • Stubby antenna or antenna delete (who uses AM/FM radio anymore?)
  • Armorlite floor replacement
  • Diver Down seat covers - I use during the summer to protect my leather from UV and wet swimsuits. $200 and they've survived 4 summers thus far.
  • the "Saddlebags" tray for the front console
  • Redline Tuning hood struts

None... but it pays well.
More info on the aux battery delete? I did see something about the stop/start button draining the main battery is that what this would be for?
Just search for aux delete... the is plenty of info. I chose to do a complete removal of cables and battery. One nice thing about a complete removal is the Aux battery box and under battery tray area is a great place for mounting some things... custom storage box for off road recovery or emergency tools. Sort of like conceal and carry. Ha! I am wondering why big names are not making an all in one lock box metal fender liner for the passenger side, and instructions to remove all that Aux stuff. There are a tonn of fastener locations in that area. I removed a lot of long cap screws at the battery tray that had no function. JL battery trays are way, way over done for securing to body. I also went further by shortening the fuse box stand that protrudes against the battery. In doing so my jeep has an H8 battery for max capacity without having things complicated.
The JL engine compartment is tight as it is in space. I just worked with what space I can muster out of it. It is surprising how much you can cram and still have a mostly stock appearance. Jeezo, another brain storm.... I may invest in a metal fender liner and have fab at work modify for a secure lock box. With a Rubicon, you need not remove a wheel to get at the inner fender area. Once you remove a fender liner, you'll see how much more usable space is hidden.
