The numbers are imaginary anyway. I never got close to the sticker in my JKUR unless I had a tailwind.

As someone getting a manual, this is actually good news. But bad news for those that expected improvement from the 8-speed..

It's 20,18,23 for the 8spd, not 17. I guess they updated it already?

About what I thought. 10% improvement across the board. The Alfa Stelvio 2.0 turbo crossover gets 22 city and 28 hwy mpg. I'm guessing the Wrangler at 20/25 due to the extra weight and poor aerodynamics.

That's about what I expected. Looks like the ESS doesn't do squat for the manual. I'll be shutting that sucker off every time, and looking for AEV to do a new ProCal to shut it off permanently. I'll bet the 4 cylinder does 1mpg better across the board, making 24 on the highway, which isn't bad for a big brick.

Shouldn't there be different numbers for the Sport, Sahara and Rubi, or do the axle ratios not matter that much?

Sport and Sahara should be the same, tire diameter is the same. Rubicon has bigger tires and 4.10 gears, probably will lose a mpg vs the other two.

I wonder how much of the change is the transmission and engine vs. the aerodynamics. I wasn't expecting game-changing improvement, but all of these tweaks only added 2mpg to highway driving?

Hopefully the diesel does better.

Not blown away, but happy with these numbers

I got a manual and it's nice to know highway mpg is the same as the eight speed.

I look forward to ESS saving in city traffic too.

after all she's still a brick on wheels...sure the diesel should see some positive gains maybe 26-28mpg

I’m not surprised but I’m still disappointed. I was hoping for at least 20 in the city. Perhaps if I drive like enough of a pansy....
