I average between 23 and 25 mpg. My driving is a mix between 12 miles of mountain roads and 45 miles freeway, one way. I also drive from sea level to 6,000 feet daily. I am currently running 35 inch MT on a 3.5 inch lift. Stock gears. On the open road I get around 26 mpg plus or minus. A gas rig, equipped like mine, will get between 12 and 15 mpg. A huge difference. On a run I was on, I used 4 gallons of diesel while others in my group almost went through a tank full. I have over 26k on the jeep and zero problems.

The highway speed limits in the western US are often 75 mph or higher . . . and kills the diesel fuel economy. The sweet spot, for me anyway, seems to be around 60 mph where I can see 35 mpg numbers . . . but who drives 60 mph on the open road!

I'm running 37s on a 4.5 inch lift and I'm still averaging 22 mpg in mixed driving.

I must have a lead foot… 18.7 average with just over 8K miles. Or I got the thirsty one? LOL! Either way, I enjoy driving it when I can.

Mine was the same, it's still breaking in just wait it'll get better. I have little over 21K mi now and I'm averaging 29-31mpg. My overall best was 35mpg on the highwaydoing 60-65mph following my father towing his camper. :CWL:

I get 22-24 on the highway with 2.5 lift and bfg 35’s. Not babying just keeping up with traffic. Before lift and new tires I was rt around 28 sometimes 30. So I am happy with diesel mpgs.

I’ve been averaging 22 in town and 33 on the last tank. Only drive around 60-65 around here. This is on a JT Overland.

On my way back from Gupton to California now. The gauge shows 35.5 mpg for the trip so far and the last tank is 36.2 mpg from Gallup, NM to Needles, CA. It is all highway driving though with average around 70mph. I can only drive up to 430-460 miles per day but I think the car can do over 500 miles if I push it.

Same, I've had my 2021 Willys Sport EcoDiesel 2 months now, 2700 miles on it. The dash MPG is definitely not accurate! I started tracking my distance and measuring fuel economy at the pump. The dash was telling me 20.2 mpg on my first fill-up, but the pump math was saying 18.6.
I filled up from half a tank today and forgot to do the math, but as we head into the weekend, I will need a fill-up late Sunday night. Planning an adventure into Oklahoma on Sunday.

15,000 on a 2020, I can get 27 day in and day out. 30's upon rare occasion, 16 pulling a 19' travel trailer...worse ever was 14 pulling with a horrible head wind...
Stock tires on Mopar wheels everything else is stock...
Stock Tires?

I was seeing around 21 after adding the Mopar lift and 37's and then I added the Green Diesel Engineering tune and it went up to about 24. The sweet spot is staying under 60. I got almost 28 running around the Adirondacks last weekend.

If I stay under 65 MPH on the highway I can get up to 28 MPG. But that never happens…

Realistically I’m at 25 MPG on highway, 21ish in San Francisco on a daily basis.

I get exactly 6 mpg better than my JK Rubicon on the same 35s, driving the same short hops: 19.5 vs 13.5. But it’s still all about the torque and the seat-of the-pants experience.

20 to 25mpg swings wildly, still under 1000 miles, plus heavy foot. I like to use the power.

Because diesel ⛽ in San Diego County ranges from $6.25 to over $7.00 a gallon I am driving slower. By limiting my lead foot to 65 on the freeway (I am passed by everything) I went from 20 mpg to close to 25, even fully lifted and running 35 inch tires. My GC is now getting close to 34 mpg driving the same. I always laugh when someone blasts by me only to be sitting at the stop light as I arrive there.
