My wife does this literally every very week on her 4xe and it drives me freaking crazy.

In her slight defense, you would have figured it would trigger a light or something.

I did that at least 3 times a week. For 4 months. I got tired of it so I just removed the rubber plug. Now the door closes almost completely with the wind so I don’t look so dorky. I have a habit of unplugging then replugging into the charger but forgetting to close the door.

I did this a month ago in my Jeep! First time in my life and I'm 51. Hope that never happens again. On the plus side they plug back in pretty easy.

You can't shift into gear with it plugged in. I wish there was a switch on the door that does the same thing.

I have put the little plug in for many of parked 4xe’s .

at least you can’t put it into drive/reverse plugged in
