Just put these on my wrangler. I thought they would of been more flush with fenders but the picture was misleading. all in all I think it's a good look. it's number one job is to protect my body from doors and shopping carts.

NIce! What material is the outer part made of? Is it a hard plastic?

Looks good! I like how the rubber parts match the door sill pattern

I installed mine last night. Super easy too. Bolts right on existing holes. Didn't even need wifes help either to hold them.

Are they plastic coated metal or what? They are obviously not designed to hold the vehicle's weight like the rubicon rails, but I assume they use the same mounting location.

The ā€œtubular side stepsā€ (MOPARā€™s name) are anodized aluminum and high strength plastic. The oval-shaped part is aluminum. The mounts and the treads are plastic. They should not be confused with rock rails, but would provide a little bit of ā€œbumpā€ protection from logs, etc. They do give idiots a great place to slam their doors into, thereby protecting your doors from dings. Both my ā€˜11 & my ā€˜15 JKU had the old version (same materials used in construction) and there were little nicks all over from errant doors.
I installed a set on my JLU Sport S last week. They were very easy to install and came with all of the bolts needed.
As with the JK version, they complete the bottom of the Jeep, giving a finished look.
Make sure you donā€™t confuse these with the sidesteps that come standard on the Sahara. Those are made entirely out of plastic and are truly sidesteps in every since of the word.
