I'd be inclined to order the AC 'cause it should be an updated version (over an AB), but what exactly might be different I certainly couldn't tell you

Am looking to install Mopar’s tailgate table to my 2018 JL Sahara. On their website there are two listings (part numbers) for what seems to be identical products.

Part Number: 82215416AB
https://store.mopar.com/accessories...storage_module/tailgate_table_82215416AB.html

Part Number: 82215416AC
https://store.mopar.com/accessories...storage_module/tailgate_table_82215416AC.html

Was hoping someone could help decipher this mystery and let me know which one I should order...

Thanks!
Probably more information than you need but educational none the less.....

The letters at the end of the part numbers is a system that Chrysler came up with to give them more part number flexibility. The AA designation is the first step in a part number's life. After that. the letters may never change, or they may change to the next level (i.e. AB, AC, ect). The confusing is that a part will either progress to the next level letter code and be completely interchangeable.....progress and not be interchangeable, or a new code will come out that has no relation to the original part.

In your case, the AB part level seems to have been replaced by the AC level......Only the dealer can truely verify. You can be fairly certain that the AB is an evolution of the part as the first tables were reported to have some issues.

So what is this?

Door Storage Modules provides up to three compartmentalized sections in the front door map pockets

Is that something that replaces the netting on the front doors?

THAT would be cool, the netting isn't good for much

this....the ab was probably out before the trail rail system. ac incorporates compatibility with the trail rail system.
I saw one of the first units out and it had the components for mounting to either setup. Funny because it was long before Jeep even released the trail rail system.

The instructions are unique to say the least....kinda like reading hieroglyphics.

Weird, I was just going buy what the description said on the two listings. However there was some kind of change, but I found out from my local dealer that the change in a part number might not have been a change in design, but could have just been a change in manufacturer.

x1000 Mopar's attempt at instructions without written language is horrible
