Hi Guys,

I'm interested to add tire air compressor to my JLR.
I can see that people installing Mopar Compressor into tailgate, but I couldn't find the part number and it's not there in Mopar performance catalog..

This looks clean installation.

Any idea of part Number for Mopar one not ARB or others.

I've attached picture of it.

That looks great - though not the part I wonder if it works the same way as this Mopar compressor:
68042190AA - you need to add a canister to this one though.

Man if it fits in the tailgate it should come with a folding table and chair too. So you have a place to make sammiches for your group while they all wait...

So damn true. I know not what the OP is asking but I'll take my dual arb. Sure shes expensive but she works hard and fast ; )

I highly doubt that the compressor is IN the tailgate, though it might be behind it. Here's a system from Cliffride that is identical to what you show here (but only for JK). Maybe they pic you have is for a prototype unit.

Ya looks like the cliffride model but either adapted or photoshopped into the JL and if thats the case, the compressor is usualy bolted to the tailgate outside and what we see is only the "outlet plate" if you will, didn't think there was room inside for a compressor either because of mechanism, wiring etc.

Are you certain the actual *compressor* is in there? Don't see how one could fit any compressor in that space that's useful for much more than pumping up volleyballs and maybe an air mattress. The size constraint and lack of cooling are some serious limitations. I could see, though, that it's maybe a central point to control a compressor mounted elsewhere with plumbed air lines and monitor it via the pressure gauge.

Holy cow that cliffride setup is expensive. I would get the ARB for that money

I can’t find the specs on the airflow of this compressor either. It also seems like it weighs about 16-ish pounds (18 pound shipping weight). So that’s another 16 pounds on the tailgate.

But, this is a really cool idea.
