Hey guys.
I ordered the new CAI from MOPAR for my 18 Sahara. I installed the intake and filter but did not do the hood cutout part. It was on the Jeep for about a week. To get the full benefit of the MOPAR kit you really need to cut the hood, IMO. I’ve decided that I do not want to go that route. It seems to add a little throttle response improvement, maybe, could be in my head. There is a slight change in the sound of the motor during acceleration, but it is in no way “loud” like an open air box design would be. It has a nice mellow growl to it. Anyway, I’m going another direction, but the kit is very nice and bolts up very quickly. Everything is included in the factory box including detailed instructions and template for the hood vent cutout. It really seems fairly easy to do, it’s just a mind game!!!
I’ll sell it for $320 shipped in the lower 48. Any questions, just ask. Thank you.
