Give it time, you'll be on 35's soon enough. Then you'll want 37's. Tire happiness only lasts so long, especially seeing all the badass rigs on here!

Not necessarily. As tires get bigger, range gets smaller.
I've said I need greater range multiple times. There's no way around it. I've never said I need larger tires. There's always a way around that.

I am posting this as I researched this site frequently regarding adding a lift to a JLU Willys with 33" tires. I have a 2021 Willys, JLU. I first swapped out the 32" M/Ts for 285/70/17 A/Ts… huge difference in ride quality and performance. I then added the Mopar 2" lift. I was skeptical about how it would look based on previous comments. First of all, it looks great, I can't be happier. More importantly, the Jeep rides much better… control, responsiveness, you name it.

I am not looking to crawl over boulders or do anything extreme; however, for an everyday driver that enjoys hitting the trails to get to remote locations, this set-up is perfect. I hope this helps others who are contemplating upgrading their Jeeps.

No, I don't. When you wheel 100 off-road miles from the nearest gas station larger tires and reduced range is decidedly unappealing. There's already enough range concern as it is.

I did that in Canyonlands- from nearest gas station to our farthest camp was over 100 miles, then we had to drive that back. Nearly half of that was on technical trails which cause my Jeep to drop to 10mpg or just under. I carried a 5 gallon can but ultimately didn't need it.

That's the area.
What can really screw you out there is that you think you're 20 miles from gas, then you discover that a flash flood washout or a rockslide made the trail utterly impassable. Which forces you into an impromptu Plan B that could be a 100 mile backtrack.

And by "utterly impassable" I mean I've seen trails I planned to take go straight off a 50' vertical cliff. Well, there used to be ground there. That's a bit of a problem. Large tires won't solve it.
