Ok so, I have a JLUR and was looking at the Mopar lift. However, I see the lift is the same across all models. So, please excuse my ignorance, but how does the sport with 35s and the lift looked “stuffed” but with the same lift and tires on a rubicon it makes the tires look tiny. I know about the higline fenders but that can’t be the only reason. What am I missing?

Because the Rubicon has higher front fenders and sits higher to begin with. The JLU Rubicon sat at the same height stock as my JK with a 2" lift. Both had 33's.

Right but doesn’t it sit higher due to taller springs?

Probably, but those front fenders have much to do with how it looks.

So if it’s the same lift for the sport and the Rubicon. It can’t possiby lift the rubicon like it does the sport. No? What am I missing? Is there separate lifts for the sport and Rubicon and my dealer just doesn’t know?

I have only seen separate lifts for 2 door/4 door and 2.0/3.6. I have not seen them by trim level.

Same lift all models... The Sport and Rubicon "can" have the same springs, but in most cases the Rubi will be about 1/2" taller suspension wise. The difference is the fenders, they have a significantly higher clearance.

So yes, you would likely get about 1/2" less on a Rubicon.... But the extra 1.5" in the fenders makes all the difference.

I have 35s and I am struggling with this choice. I worry the 2 inch lift that some say nets 3 is too much for 35s on the JLUR.

Wish I could see pics. Seems like everyone on here has 37s on JLUR with 2 inch mopar lift.

It's just my opinion, but yes, the Mopar lift is too much on a Rubicon with 35's... You can put 35's right on a Rubi, but I would think a 1" front spacer and a 1/2" rear spacer would look great.

Yup and that’s what I’m waiting for but getting an itch since I already have the 35s on. Don’t get me wrong. It looks good but a 1.5/1 or like you said 1/.5 would be perfect. Not to mention, probably wouldn’t need anything other than bump stop extensions.
