Installing Rubicon suspension on Sport. Mopar extended arms will cost $106 with shipping to Las Vegas or Rancho Sportarms are $200. Rancho arms say for lifts between 1.5" - 3.5".

Suggestions? Budget will not allow for more than $200

Thanks

Unfortunately I do not have any experience with the Rancho control arms but after 16,000 miles on my Rubicon suspension equipped Sahara it’s been just fine. I think I spent $70 or less to my door for the Mopar control arms Dec ‘19. Did the price go up?

The arms are only like $31/ea but it’s $45 to ship to Las Vegas.

Mopar arms work fine for rubi suspension....if you plan on lifting your jeep in the future though I'd go with a set of adjustable control arms in order to dial in caster. My extended mopar arms yielded an astoundingly low amount of caster once lifted.....3.9 degrees :CWL:

so why would a rubicon suspension on a non rubi need longer control arms?
The higher you go, the lower the caster in degrees which makes the steering a little more sensitive/twitchy. The Rubi’s should come from the factory with Mopar LCA’s but they don’t. Probably comes down to cost reasons.

The underlying issue is that the OEM lower control arms are the exact same part for Sport/Sahara/Rubicon. [Hence using the Rubicon's LCA doesn't buy anything]. The Rubicon's should be longer to offset (caster-wise) because it's (slightly) lifted compared to the Sport/Sahara. This is considered to be something of a miscalculation by the factory's setup. So the go-to inexpensive solution is to use the LCAs from the Mopar lift kit because they are .25" longer than the stock bars. If you go to a higher lift, you'll need adjustable LCAs to get another 1/8" or so.
