Mopar now has the 77072430AF for the 2" lift for the 4Dr JL Wrangler with 2L engine. Anyone know the difference between the AE and AF? I installed an AE last summer. This is for a friend. I heard that now it ships in 2 boxes???

Did you ever receive any further information on this? I have the same exact question.

Thanks

Same here. The price sure has gone up on these lifts, understandable though considering the last few years on Earth. Close to pulling the trigger on the "AF" and am really curious at the change(s) from AE.

tldr: new shocks, new front sway bar links, one box

---

I just received and installed 77072430AF a couple weeks ago. Here are the differences I noticed compared to 77072430AE info I found on the web:

  • Instructions for AF are dated August 24, 2021 (AE was December 1, 2020?).
  • Front shocks (A) part no. changed from 68316572AC to 68316572AD.
  • Rear shocks (B) part no. changed from 68316582AC to 68316582AD.
  • Front sway bar links (D) part no. changed from 68306981AA to 68306981AB.
  • New M12 flange nuts (O) to match the new front sway bar link top bolts. I guess the old one wasn't the same thread, which I found out the hard way trying to use the old factory nut on the new bolt.
  • Rear bump stop extensions (J) part no. changed from 68323933AA to 68501833AA.

Installation instructions were pretty much the same except for using the new nuts for the new front sway bar links.

All other parts had the same part numbers so I assume their function and installation didn't change between versions.

Everything was still in one box, the wood crate.
