If I could find a template for the Headliner/Hardtop I could CNC some Neoprene Sound dampening material. I am WAY too cheap to buy the OEM product.

Since mine came with it, I would say its worth it. I live in Oklahoma and can definitively say that the heat reduction is impressive when compared to a JK without an insert.

If you are doing aftermarket, Hotheads may be the way to go.

Mine came with it, I live in Az. Meh, I am not sure it contributes to much.

I got it for the simple reason that it’s covered under factory warranty now...

After purchasing my Jl without it I had a little regret not buying it. California is hot and I could definitely notice the heat.
However, I ended up buying a one piece mesh top from alien shades. It stays on with the hard top on and does an amazing job of keeping the heat off and noise down. It also only cost me 100 bucks.

I think so, I didn't want to screw around with adhesive failure etc... now if it starts pulling away from the top i can bring it in for warranty repair and not have to worry about it. the new tops are very light weight and transmit sound and heat/cold. I think its a must have honestly. Jk had way heavier tops and were a bit quieter i think?

Yep, worth it.

I tried aftermarket on my JKUR and the panels didn’t stay put after numerous attempts. If the factory adhesive doesn’t work it’s covered under warranty.

Also, the panels cover the roof and side panels around the windows.

I've also have the OEM headliner. I noticed less outside noise, I also noticed less heat in the cabin, I live in FL.
I'm sure it will work in the cold weather as well. Overall happy, I don't think it worth the price but I had a good discount on it.
I'd probably go with aftermarket if I was to do it from scratch. I'm just an aftermarket kind of guy.

Worth it in the Texas heat.

I'm going to assume from your Arizona locale George that headliners attract your interest primarily for the heat reduction features they provide, over say, ancillary benefits like noise reduction.

If that is in fact the case, even though I didn't get them and don't regret it because of my cooler (read: temperature, definitely not snow cleanup desires) Northeast locale, I definitely would have gotten them if I lived in your neck of the woods, and recommend them for you.
