Can you actually mount those on the "inside" of the rollbar instead of the outside? That way they would not hit the window, albeit they may be too close to your head then, but curious nonetheless, those look nice.
no. they install only one way. Mine have never hit the windows. It would take a pretty intense trail for the to hit the windows. Never under normal driving conditions have they ever hit a windows. They are fairly rigid and don't even really move much. I drive a 2-door with a 2" lift kit and 33's so its not exactly smooth in the best of conditions :)

Mounted as designed, these are in the perfect location for me; they are great for hoisting yourself in and out of the driver’s seat.

Don’t worry about these slapping the window; mine do, but only with a strong sideways lurch that you may only occasionally encounter, and even then there is no harm done.

I think these are a great choice for auxiliary grab handles; they are sturdy, well-designed, and positioned just right, in my opinion. :like:
