I just noticed the All Weather Floor Mats are no longer an option on the Jeep build pages for 2 or 4dr Rubicon. I didn't check the other trims. Weird.

my factory mopar all weather mats dont seem to snap into the drain holes at all , I was surprised there wasnt some sort of retaining feature on them, it just seems to push into the hole with no retention
This was exactly my dilemma the Mopar mats don’t fit snugly into the drain hole. I ended up putting plugs in the mat as well as the drain hole as I didn’t want water coming in from underneath and didn’t want moisture from my mats draining on the carpet

we had quite a bit of snow a few weeks back, which meant a lot of snow into the slush mats…some how even with the plugs in place the carpets got wet under the mats…

so….do I pull both sets of plugs, align the mat as good as possible and hope water doesn’t come in from below? Or jus 86 the Mopar mats and go after market?

I'm going to 86 mine. Wish I would've just gotten the regular carpet mats. I'm likely going with these

Hopefully they are redesigning them, because honestly they suck. In reality they are probably just having supply issues.

Hey, before ditching your mats check that you do not have a leak coming in from the outside. We had water coming in soaking the carpet under the Mopar mats. Dealer brought in a leak specialist and sealed up a bunch of places. We found water drops under this footwell trim panel.

We lay a separate deep ribbed mat on top of the Mopar mats to catch all the snow rain and mud. Works a charm and is super easy to remove and clean. Does not matter then about the cheap Mopar hard plastic scuffing up. We also leave the drain plugs in place because some have reported leaks there as well when using the mats. Anyways a PSA for all JL owners to be aware of.

Yes but not the rear cargo mat, it sucks, it doesn't stay attached to the part that's on the back side of the rear seat

Thanks for the heads up. Plan is to dry it all out, then closely monitor for moisture before spending any money. I hope I don’t have a leak anywhere. This is the first time I noticed that the rug was wet.

No worries. We were in the same position. First step is to dry it all out 100%. it was so weird before we sourced the leak. It was like WTF - why is there water under the carpet again?!. We used a hair dryer to make it bone dry. Still after a light rain we had water under. Then finally found a single drip of water between the trim panels. Then ah ha! Off to the dealer.

Dealer was actually really good about it. No more problem now. But really?

Actually to answer the OP question would get the OEM Mopar mats again because it does the job we need. Which is to protect the carpet from wear and tear. In the pic above the carpet still looks and feels brand new. Not a perfect product by any stretch - but it does work. True as well about the comment the cargo mat snaps do not stay in place. Stupid - but having that upstand at the back of the seats does help protect a bit more. We have loaded a ton of shit back there and the carpet under is still perfect.

Good news, drove around with heat on high and dried out the rug. Fortunately it was cool and dry out so we were able to keep the windows down and stay comfortable.

bad news, midway through our errands the audio quality we to sh!t for no apparent reason and across all sources even carplay.
Quick forum search show others with similar issue, hopefully resetting the unit will work…

never a dull moment…

Weird mine snap in with a very positive click. I would buy them again, they are working awesome so far with a very snow Canadian winter.

Apparently there has been some redesign. Ours is the new version. But still we do not use the drain because everything is perfectly good without. Dry is dry - so that works for us. No need to test. Since never have needed to hose out the footwell or anywhere else. Just vacuum.
