Did you get any lift over the XR?
In terms of measurements (approx):
Front - OEM with added weight from the steel bumpers, etc. the shock was 20" eyelet to eyelet; it is now 21.5" I had .75" of space between the bottom of the bump stop and the frame; I now have 2" (this is hard to measure). Overall height from the ground to the plastic fender lip went from 40" to 41.5"

Rear - OEM with added weight from the steel bumpers, etc. the shock was 23" eyelet to eyelet; it is now 24" I had 2" of space between the bottom of the bump stop and the frame; I now have 3". Overall height from the ground to the plastic fender lip went from just under 40" to 41.25"

I swapped the lifts. 2022 Extreme Recon now has the Mopar and the 2021 Rubi has the Extreme Recon lift. Both on 35’s which measured about the exact same.

Looks like about 1-1.5” gain. Running new track bars or stock? Looks good. I’m debating if the 35s look a little small on my other Jeep with Mopar lift after swapping over the 37s to my XR.

Wish I would have grabbed a pic before the black one went for a sleepover at a family members house for awhile 😂. Maybe next time I’m there I will snap one, sorry.

It would have been but I added spacer lift for now to the XR to accommodate the 37s and to level things out. I ordered with plastic bumpers since I planned to switch them with shadow and mine was at least 1” rake. When adding spacers I added 1.5” rear and 2.5” front. After adding steel bumpers and heavy 37 hanging off rear it sits perfectly level.

Stock track bar at the moment but I have the MC adjustable I’ll put back on the front at some point. I was running it on the Rubi but haven’t had time to install on the XR yet.

No Sir. Shadow looks damn near perfect.

I also have an XR Rubicon. Added steel front and rear bumpers, winch, sliders, etc. I was not happy with the stock suspension with all the add ons. I installed 1.5" Clayton springs with the Fox Performance 2.0 shocks for a 2-3" lift as recommended by Clayton for both front and rear.

The jeep stays much flatter during turns and under hard breaking. I can hit speed bumps at speed. The excess wallowing is gone Freeway driving at 75 mph is perfect. No downside at all and all good.
I’m interested in this approach. Adding the weight sucks. How much did the springs lift the front? Did you do front and rear all the same (1.5” springs, 2-3” shocks). No control bar change?

I’m interested in recovering from the weight gain and just a small lift so when it settles it comes back into the sweet spot.

Are there any current bolt on kits for the XR that once the plastic bumpers are removed and replaced with steel/winch that you can get it back to height and also improve the ride? Seems like people are piecing all kinds of things together at the moment. Maybe RK springs with the fox 2.0 shocks? Maybe an inch higher in the front to get rid of the rake? I had the mopar lift kit on my 2019 rubicon and found it to ride pretty rough, so I don't think I want to do that again. I'm hoping to figure out some stuff to order so I can do it during the Black Friday specials...

If you want to maintain the squishy, boaty, floaty factory ride then do what @hoag4147 did, it’s the best way to improve your rake/bumpstop/regaining your height issues….. Any spring lift is going to firm up the ride somewhat……. But then that’s what a lot of people want……

Don't so much want the floaty ride, but something that soaks up washboard dirt roads better than stock...I was thinking originally just the spacer lift, but if I'm going to have to take everything apart to install those anyway, I could just change out to better springs/shocks as well. The Mopar kit I had on my last Jeep I just thought did nothing really well, didn't soak up the bumps off road, and was too harsh on the freeway, especially over freeway bumps it just wouldn't stay planted. I'm chocking that up to the Fox shocks in that kit probably being bottom of the barrel fox quality compared to the 2.0's that you can buy separately. Or maybe Falcon SP2 shocks would be better? I don't want to end up with a lift any higher than 1"-1.5" over the stock XR height(wife will murder me).

Understood……the problem with recommending a kit is it’s to subjective, everybody’s firm or soft isn’t the same….Also with spring lifts it’s hard not to get a little more lift than advertised…..maybe try adding your steel/weight if haven’t already, and see how much height you actually lose, then it will help determine which height springs to look into…..
