Today begins the Great Moorman Vacation of 2021. Two Jeeps, two adults, 2 teenagers and an eager 10 year old. We will traverse 5 states today, starting in GA and ending in AR. Just trying to get out of the SE as quickly as possible. Pray for us. Pray for ME.

We’re also doing a two Jeep, two adult, two teenagers, and a 10 month old vacation in July to SD, WY, MT, & ID hitting a few parks, some camping, some bnb’s (to do laundry)…and trails. I’m not sure how far this crew will follow me on some of them. lol

OK, i totally sucked posting on the forum during our vacay. Lack of cell service and motivation stopped me. But I'll go ahead and post everything now in a daily log.

Day 2 is a wrap! Made it through Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle and into Santa Fe, New Mexico. Big change of scenery for sure. We traveled I-40, which is Route 66. Oklahoma was nice, as were the people. The TX panhandle sucks for sure. New Mexico, with the buttes and desert is super cool. (Literally no one lives here… not even cows) Tomorrow we’re just hitting the Georgia O’Keefe And Game of Thrones museums.

Day 3. We spent the day in and around Santa Fe. The morning was spent at Bandelier National Monument. So what happened was, some old-timey Indian folks built their houses in these tall ass cliffs. There were hundreds of these little caves that they kind of chiseled out…or something like that. (I didn’t take the tour, and that’s completely speculative). Anyway, the scale is awesome.

Then we went to the Georgia O’Keefe museum. I was kind of whatever about the idea, but seeing her paintings in person is hard to explain. Her use of color can’t be captured in photos. Just beautiful. I’m pretty sure she was a pervert though, a lot of her painting were “vaginal” in nature.
Abstract 1945 was my favorite one. I can’t put my finger on it…It just appealed to me.

Then we just kind of walked around The Plaza in Santa Fe. It’s super chill. I bought crystal a turquoise bracelet thing. Tomorrow GC bound.

Day 4. EPIC route from Santa Fe to almost the Grand Canyon. There were so many amazing landscapes we didn’t quite make it the whole way. Ended up bushwhacking in the Kaibab National Forest just north of the park. Didn't get a pic but we witnessed three idiots flop a SxS just outside of Page Arizona. We pulled over to see if they were OK. Turns out they were wasted. I hooked up and turned their SxS right side up.
