Mine is the “poverty spec” JLU - absolute base, zero options. For me, this has the right mix of old school (crank windows, manual transmission, etc.) and digital tech (Bluetooth, backup cam,etc.). That said, the Mojito! paint was the final piece to really seal the deal - an identical spec JLU in Hella Yella just didn’t do it for me.
The plan is to stay fairly close to stock with just a few minor upgrades:
Mopar rubber mats installed last night (cargo mat kit on back order)
Also done last night, those euro fillers are cut off the front bumper - European pedestrians beware!
Bushwacker sill/rocker covers are waiting on a warmer day to get stuck on
Adding a sattelite radio antenna for the head unit I swap between vehicles is also waiting on warmer weather
May consider take-off wheels when it’s time to replace tires
Traded a C5 Corvette for the JLU; I’m enjoying the contrast in driving experience and not being afraid of speed bumps anymore.
The biggest shock was the seat elevation difference - see pic #1Gotta be a little bit of a shock going from your previous ride to a Jeep. At least you can still go topless
just decalsVery nice, I have the full set of floor mats...the door sill's are Great. I assume you painted them yourself?
