Seeing if anyone has done this. I've been researching and found some parts list. Just wanted to get any info. This is what I've found so far

Not a fan of the shape but it's not my jeep.

You can do without the hood liner and the push pins I imagine.

I like it but I haven't seen any pictures of the swap completed.
The hood isn't actually that expensive.

Quick search of all the pieces @DaveC listed as required adds up to 733.53. Without the liner and push pins it still comes out to about 650 before labor of replacing the entire cowl and painting both cowl and hood.

That isnt too bad of a price but in the end its still a non functional hood.

I just saw a Jeep Rubicon with the Mojave hood today, it looks really good. I’m thinking about doing the swap now for my Sahara.

Wondering if the 392's functional hood could be swapped for around the same coin

The 392's Hood integrates with a new air box which sits on the driver's side and way more inboard and closer to the firewall than all other factory air boxes so I imagine it would require quite a bit of work to convert.

There already is a hood available that is fully functional...just saying ;)

Should have been more specific, interested in the 392 hood's ability to shed water without using a snorkel.

Would that air box be in the same position as the Ecodiesel?
