Modify Bolra JLU Touring Climber to fit JL?

Well, I am getting a little antsy waiting for Borla to release the JL Touring Climber Cat Back and thinking of just buying the JLU version and modifying it to fit...
Since the drivetrains are the same, dollars to doughnuts the muffler is/will be the same and from rear axle back there is no difference...So it seems reasonable the main challenge would be losing the 20.2 inches extra inches in overall length and relocating one or more Borla exhaust hangers. Has anyone yet attempted this?

Looks like the most you can take out is 13" of straight pipe unless you get creative on the bends......

Thanks for posting these pictures. If it could be modified to fit, looks like it would take a skilled muffler shop and to make me happy, they would also need to match piping with the same stainless steel that Borla uses...Sounds like I may have to keep waiting

may be able to do a turn down after the muffler but I am not sure how it would sound.....

Just order a muffler from Borla and have a local exhaust shop fab up a catback system for you.
