I cheaped out when I bought my JL, I got a pretty bare bones Unlimited Sport and started modding. The dash-hole where the powered windows SHOULD BE, is useless. So I made a panel and put some horizontal rocker switches there for the 4 (Mopar) front LED’s and rear bumper LED’s. I mounted magnets inside the hole, so the panel clicks in and out, should I ever need access.
Wired them so the switch lights only illuminate when on...didn’t want more lights on my panel. Also wired power directly to battery so they’ll work when the Jeep is off. Rocker switches are from CH4x4.
Just thought I’d share in case anyone is dealing with that annoying dash-hole.

@PhilD I think that is brillant! On top of the excellent use of dead space, it looks great and is actually much easier and more intuitive to reach than the auxillary switches I've got in my Rubi.

Nice work! Looks factory, too! Win win! The whole Jeep looks awesome!

That's clean!
@BCalvin

Yes, terrific job by the OP!

The OP, could make up these panels with the switches and be selling them like hotcakes here.
Real clean install..... they look like they grew there... and by the OP's description, he really thought it out so to speak.

Was thinking ... depending on what you were powering off these switches, a guy/gal might just grab the 12v power right there at the cigarette lighter next door.

Using a @CoolTech , "Power Port Kit" would give you the full time 12v . Would cost $25 more, but would have been easier then getting the 12v from the battery. I mean you are right there near the cigarette lighter anyway....

Appreciate the positive feedback guys! I’m pleased with how it turned out. Maybe I should mass produce these as Rhinebeck said. Even if people didn’t use it for switches, that hole is useless and unsightly.
Appreciate the compliments!
