Mine was Ohio too and burns oil, but it runs like new. It just has a drinking problem. I call it General Grant! Lol! I've got the lifetime warranty, so if it ever overdoses, it'll be fixed for free. I have great fondness for that old engine!I see your JK is a 2008 which had the old 3.8 motor. Same motor I had in my ‘09 and never had issues with it. I know a lot of the 3.8’s sucked the oil but mine was built in Ohio (not Mexico) and didn’t burn a drop. Changed oil every 3K and was always right up to the full line at every change.
Kudos on being able to keep your JK, it was rather hard to part ways with mine but the JL is so damn fun to drive all I have to do is go for a ride and I’m over it
