Has anyone removed the mirrors from the their doors and just kept a set of these https://ruggedridge.com/p/rugged-ridge-trail-mirror/rgr-11025-25/

I am trying to find a plate to cover the holes that the standard mirrors would leave when I remove them. I know I could get a pair made, but I was trying to see if there were some that were already made to avoid headaches of trying to get new ones made.

I suppose if you want saggy mirrors you could do this. I tried these as well as the hinge mounted mirrors and they were terrible. They vibrate to the point you can barely use them and the sag.

Yeah i have a set of hinge mirrors but I'm just tired of taking them on and off all the time. Just being lazy I suppose but I thought these may be better.

I tried the hinge, they were flimsy. Tried the hood mounted and they sagged. I tried to order the Lange Coyote but they were on backorder for months so I settled on the CCMs. More than double what I wanted to pay but worth it. Wish I would have started there.

I got a set of Trail Mirrors from Motor City Aftermarket, which mount on the hood hinge and they are great--no sagging or flapping in the wind. See: https://mcaftermarket.com/jeep-wrangler-round-trail-mirrors-pair/.

I tried two different brands that mount on the door hinge that either with wind would blow them in or would vibrate so bad that they were unusable. The hood ones worked out great.
