Just put on rubicon take off suspension and added rubicon fender flares. Has anyone installed these on their 4dr Sport or Sahara? Any issues with fitment? I would imagine not, but I want to be sure before I trade my RK LCAs for them. I was thinking I’d mount them to the rubicon wheels. Objections?

I had them on my jlu sport with the stock fenders and rubi takeoffs for a while, then added the 2.5" RC spacer lift. no issues at all. But I didn't use rubi wheels. You might get some rub on the LCAs as might need to adjust the turn stops by adding washers if they rub the LCAs or you might need to add spacers. The wheels had 4.5 backspacing so it worked without hitting the lcas. Hopefully someone with 35's and stock wheels on the sport can chime in on this. I had some rub with the stock sport fenders so you shouldnt have any rub on those at least with the rubi fenders.

Definitely concerned about rubbing at lock. The only other thing is I mostly do road driving, and highway. If i have 35s ill go off road more Often, but most of my miles are road miles. 30k sounds like the expected tread life, these tires i was gonna trade for have 17k on them.

Ive driven 20k since sept 2020, upon deliverY with 120 miles.

Trading my RK LCAs seems like a good deal.

To add I went with 37 patagonias on my sport with the RK 3.5" lift and control arms. The 37s rubbed the LCAs so I added a couple washers to the turn stop which is really easy to do. Decreased the rubbing. The rubicon axles push the wheels out a little further which is why they are less likely to rub the LCAs compared to our sports. Oh and rubbing is only when the wheel is maxed out like when doing u turns or 3 point turns. otherwise highway, offroad etc no issues.

Right, they have 17k of miles on them now? Is it worth it? I posted my arms up for about 600 bucks.

which arms are they (front lowers and others)? 35" patagonias used around 10-15k usually go for around $500-600. You can get new 35" patagonias for around $1100 for all 5. At least I did from discount tire when I bought them a year ago. Then I bought the 37" pats for around $1400 for 5 recently.

Price on the 35" pats might be around $200 for each, so $1200 new plus tax.

Front lowers and rear lowers from the adventure series 3.5” they have 200 miles on them.

You also need to consider after 15k miles you need to get new tires and pay another $100 for install. Might be worth it for the adventure series arms.

I can save on mounting and balance and install. that is true. Either way I’m looking at 15k in mileage left.

this is the set up i ran for about a year. Except on aftermarket wheels with less backspacing

stock rubi suspension and fender flares. No issues

so far im at about 10k on the tires. still plenty to go. although, they say (pretty much) all tires arent as grippy any more after the first few thousand miles. i havent noticed any issues off road with them. i just picked up the same tires in 37". im considering using those just for off road days and the 35s for daily driver duty. that way i pro-long the life of my off road tires, instead of wasting them away on streets/highways. a bit of a hefty investment lol.

my wheels are 4.5" backspacing which is what is typically recommended for most lift kits. if you used spacers with stock wheels you should be good i believe.

*without rubi fenders, i would be rubbing all over the Sport fenders. it would probably work if someone were to run rubi suspension with at least a .5" or so spacer. (with stock sport fenders).

after about 10k my tires are worn unevenly which has created a noticeable vibration when slowing down. I would always rotate tires with every oil change at the dealer, I wouldn't buy them again.

That honestly sucks, I think the road force balancing would need to be done with every rotation and i know my dealer Doesn’t do that unless i pay them extra. thats a shame
