Hello all,

I finally got my mxt275 hardwired to direct battery wire and got everything buttoned up for a clean look:)

Upon receiving transmissions, I don’t seem to hear any sound coming from the speaker on the mounted base unit. Is it just not very loud or something I didn’t configure or install correctly?

Did you adjust the settings to enable that speaker? You can set the speaker to be the one in the handheld, the base or both. See page 25

That radio is plenty loud, even using only the handset speaker.

Recommend writing down which menu toggles the handset/base/both speaker setting, as it is not intuitive from the display. Just Sharpie it on the back of the handset.
