Midland MXT275 and rain/water

Was just curious what your experience has been with the Midland MXT275 and water more so rain. I have recently been able to remove the door and top but was curious what peoples experience has been with any type of water. The “body” is tucked very high under the steering column but the mic/control is exposed on the dash. What if I hit a mud puddle with the doors of or have a pop up rain shower?
