First there’s a $100 rebate buying 4. No problem there lol.

I went back and forth for a minute between two sizes.(Oh and they’re up on the MT website now with all of the specs.) I have the factory Sahara 18” upgrade wheels and a set of Rubicon Upgrade wheels. I was considering the 295/70/18 at 34.5” and the 295/70/17 at 33.7” because I don’t have a regear yet on my Sahara with eTorque. Then I thought...the plan is to regear next fall. Get what you’re going to run after as there will still be plenty of tread left for this 50k mile rated tire.

Next Wednesday or Thursday is when MT told the tire dealer they would start either shipping or manufacturing. I should have asked which but either way he said I should see them by the 14th.

The minimum advertised price directive from MT for all dealers is $315 for my 295/70/18’s and for the 295/70/17 the minimum is $296.

Awesome Daniel!
Great they kept the deep tread of the ATZ, and looks like the 37s are lighter at 79.8 lbs.
Have you considered the 35s?
Also interesting they make it in a true pizza cutter at 35x10x17.
Can't wait to see pics of them up on your rig!

so what is the weight for the 35 and 37 do they measure accurately
I emailed Mickey Thompson regarding the weight, they're pretty good about getting back, so we'll see. Seems hard to imagine a lighter load rated tire would be heavier than the heavier load rated one

I didn’t even notice the pizza cutter! It’s cool but probably just a bit narrower than I’d prefer. I’d like to see somebody use them though to get a better idea.

Yeah, I think they’ll look great. A little different with the 18” Sahara upgrade wheels too like Arterius2 here.

I wish they were lighter but it could be worse on the tire I’m going with. (295/70/18) It’s rated at 66.4 iirc and the ST Maxx being .200” shorter shows 67 lbs on tire size and that’s a very durable tire. It doesn’t look as good though.

I think I read something a while back about them coming out with a dually tire? I wonder if this 255/85/17 is intended to serve as that niche tire.

Makes sense, and as hot as that Kenda pizza-cutter size is selling to the Gladiator group they may be on to something :)
A tall & thin tire is a niche size, but for those that do most of their wheeling where a tire needs to cut rather than float it's a huge win! And having that extra clearance in a tire that doesn't take up the same weight and footprint is a tradeoff that quite a few might take.
