You will definitely want to unhook our sway bars and double check before going wheeling... I replaced mine due to clearance issues.
do you think MC 2.5 lift will require a DS? with FALCON 2.1 shocks

Depends on several factors. Do you wheel with your jeep? Will you unhook your sway bars? What length are your shocks? If you plan to do any of those things then YES, you should change out the front drive shaft to avoid any issues.

Looks like the Falcon 2.1 fronts are 17.90" Compressed and 27.60" extended.

As long as you do not use either the top or bottom shock brackets, you are probably OK with the stock shaft as far as clearance to the trans skid bar.

There is also the upper RZeppa joint to keep an eye on.

Sorry for the delay, been slammed at work the last couple days.

No, but as @hoag4147 said, you have super limited uptravel, plus your using the shocks as bump stops. Probably scarier, you are not only driveshaft limited, I bet you are brake line limited since they left the stock bracket on the LCAs.

Using @AnnDee4444 ā€˜s data, the front shocks should be 17.5-26.25 travel.

Up, stock bump metal to metal is 16.25, plus 3ā€ added bump, so your bumps are 19.25. Shocks compressed are 17.5+3 upper + 1 lower (guessing on the lower). Thatā€™s 21.5. That means you bottom out the shock 1.25ā€ before the bump stop, and thatā€™s bad.

First, get the LCA brake line brackets cut off, or at least unbolt them. Thatā€™d be dangerous if they got yanked out.

I think you have enough bushing to run the lower brackets without the uppers. IF they add an inch, that makes you safe up to 18.5, so good with about 2.25ā€ of bump, 2.5ā€ bump is probably the sweet spot, but the current 3ā€ would be fine. That would give you 27.25 at full droop and youā€™d give up some travel, but would solidly be safe with stock driveshaft.
Just wanted to circle back to this. I asked 4WP about it and they said they can add bump stops if needed. I have a separate thing Iā€™m adding tomorrow so Iā€™ll be at 4WP for them to inspect up and down travel. But I was just looking and I do have bump stops installed. This whole time I thought I didnā€™t but they are there and looks like at least 3 inches. So now Iā€™m more confused. Do I need more or different kind of bump stops or do I need something else? Sorry Iā€™ve never gone off roading so this is still new to me

3ā€ front and rear is what you have, that is plenty. Iā€™m running 3ā€ front and 2ā€ rear and considering dropping an inch in the front.

Shit, Iā€™m a retard. Weā€™re actually vacationing in Moab in a rental 4xe and Iā€™ve been drinking.

Looks like my original concern was the amount of uptravel left in your shocks. Look at the difference in the shock shaft and the amount of gap between the bumps and the stops.

Lol! That's commitment - vacations to Moab, awesome, rents a Jeep, great. But can't be just any Jeep, it's a 4xe!

Now.. why didn't you drive yours there? ;-)

Edit: surprisingly, the 4xe was the only one on Turo at Montrose, and was $100 cheaper per day than an enterprise SUV

Yeah itā€™s amazing how little they knew about it. They did their look and said I need to take off either the top or bottom bracket because thereā€™s not enough travel. Which is what you said way back when I got it installed. If I didnā€™t ask here I wouldnā€™t have asked them. Not sure how they install these things and donā€™t look at things like that. I have to go back in a week for something else so they said theyā€™ll take off either the top or bottom brackets in the front. They said back is fine but now I donā€™t know.

Trying to decide if I like my paint plan for the MC diff cover. Iā€™ve got two colors down so far. Plan right now is to do black on the ā€œbackgroundā€. So it will leave ā€œgoldā€ on the left and top parts of the M and Surf Blue on the right with a ā€œGoldā€ outline on the slope.

Gold color is the Duplicolor two stage Metal Cast Yellow Anodized.

Any thoughts?

And I managed to hit the stock cover by shelf dropping off the MC skid at Beasley Knob this weekend, so perfect time to get her on.
