Hello everyone. We just bought a 2018 JLU Sahara on Saturday for my wife. She's had two Jeeps in the past. Hoping to learn some tips and tricks as the Jeep thing is new to me.

Hello, first time Wrangler owner. 11 years ago I bought a Patriot when I really wanted the brand new JK wrangler Unlimited. My Financial situation wasn't such that I could afford a wrangler at that time. Now things are better and when I saw the new JL wrangler was coming out and the Patriot was giving me all kinds of trouble, I decided it was time to make the move. Had my JLU for about a month now and loving every minute of it. Rides to work or wherever around town just arent long enough. I look forward to modding it over the years and maybe doing some light off roading. Been reading these forums for a while now and thought I'd finally sign up and join the fun.

Hello, all!

I've been drooling over Wranglers since I got rid of my 98 TJ back in 2009. I'm a big guy (6'6") with 2 young kids (5 and 1), and those damn car seats take up so much space, so I figured a Wrangler was out of the question as a family car. Then came the JL. I was shocked when we spontaneously test drove a JLU at how much space there really is inside. So, naturally, after taking a couple of weeks to convince the wife, I'm the proud owner of a Base JLUS 6MT (yep, manual locks/windows too!). The only option this Jeep has on it is the limited slip/all terrains. I missed the simplicity of my old TJ, and this is about as close as I could come to replicating it in a modern Jeep.

I was blown away by how easy the top is to operate and really appreciate being able to just flip it back without removing the rear windows. I was even able to get it closed today at a stoplight without even getting out of the Jeep when a surprise shower came down and was about ready to saturate the interior.

Minimal mods planned as this is my daily for my 70 mile commute, but do intend to add LED head/tail lights, Rubi wheels/tires, and some tint. That's about all I need! Took a few quick snaps the day I picked it up.

I look forward to lurking the forums!

Been here for a little over a year, but finally picked up a JL, so figured it’s time to say hello. I’m in Central Florida. Bought a black JLU Rubicon on Friday, enjoyed a topless day on Saturday, and played in the rain and mud on Sunday. I’m in love.

Hello All,

Previous owner of three jeeps (2 TJs and one YJ). Patiently waiting for the ecodiesel JL to come out so I can buy my fourth! Test drove a new Rubicon the other day and was amazed at the improvements jeep has made since my TJ.

Each generation seems to get noticeably better. I owned a TJ and JK. I plan on ordering a JL. I remember being amazed at how improved the JK was over the TJ in terms of refinement. The JL seems greatly improved over the JK too.

Hello everyone. I ordered a 2dr white Rubicon at the end of July and recieved a text from my salesman late Saturday that I can pick it up Monday. So my wife and I drove over to the dealership to get a sneak peak late Saturday night. This will be my first jeep wrangler so pretty excited. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the great info.

2018 JL Sport 2-door Soft Top
Hello Everyone!

We recently purchased our first Jeep! We bought a JL Sport 2-door soft top. We just love it. We got it because we needed a vehicle to tow behind a motorhome we purchased last year. We knew we wanted a Jeep and just wanted to wait for the new model to come out before making a decision. It seemed to take forever for the 2-doors to become available for us to compare to the JK models. Plus, the salespeople couldn't even point out the differences!

Well, we finally got one that was suitable and we ended up putting side rails on it and getting a bumper that is suitable for towing. By the time we got all those parts ordered and delivered put installed, it took about 6 weeks from delivery.

It drives great...a little different from the Mustang GT we traded it for, however, that is just the trade-off we had to make to go RVing! (I'm saying that with tongue firmly in cheek...)

Overall, we love it!

Hello all, new to the group but followed prior to purchasing my JLUR. This is my 4th Jeep-2 Grand Cherokees and 2-Wranglers. Last wrangler was a TJ. Loving being back in a wrangler, so much fun to drive. Can’t wait to start the mods.

Hey! I'm Zach. I've always been a fan of jeeps but bought my first one last year as sort of an impulse because I was jealous the ex had a JKU. Ended up selling a 2014 Triumph Street Triple R to buy an 04 TJ X. The TJ had a previous salvage title out of Missouri but the guy I bought it from fixed it up and put 30k miles on it. From pictures it looked like it rear ended a box truck because it was just the grill, radiator hood, and driver fender that needed replaced. I bought it with 95k miles and put 10k on in the year I've owned it. Also have a 2016 Silverado 1500 that more or less just sits.

The TJ has 2 inch teraflex budget lift, 31" BFG KO2, 4.0, NV3550, D35 with 3.07 (great street manners actually), aftermarket front and rear bumpers and a few other odd and ends.

I've been browsing here for a few weeks because I'm really interested in trading in both vehicles for a new JLUR. Just don't feel safe to pull the trigger yet with all the issues the issues they seem to be having. Id
