I have a 2016 JKU and just received in February my 2018 JLU, all ready 3500 miles on it and I am loving it, I have my 2016 set up for some rock climbing , my wife 's daily driver. When the 2019 P/U coms out I plan to trade in the 16 for one and get the diesel if it is within my financial means.
I don't plan to refinance my house to get one though.
Of course she gets the 2018 and I get the truck YES!

Well, the number doesn’t look like a VIN, so now I’m confused lol.

Glad to be part of the forum! We are first time Jeep purchasers. We have an Ocean Blue Rubicon in transit with ETA to dealer 5/22-5/26. We are trying to be adults and be patient, but, honestly, this waiting thing is the pits! While we wait, we are doing research on best hard top lift, rockstar rims, etc. Our Rubicon will probably stay stock for a bit while we figure out the mods we truly want to do.

My name is Mike and I recently got a 2018 freedom edition Oscar Mike. My wife also picked up a 2018 grand Cherokee with the same rhino color and black wheels. I have no clue what direction I’ll take this thing but I can tell you that I’m in love with it.

Hey there ✋ I just picked up my JLU Sport and I love it!! The dealer is willing to give me Rubicon Springs/shocks, tires n rims for $1800 installed. Im sitting on the fence because I’m a new owner who will likely remain on fire roads. Any thoughts??

Edit.
I’m an idiot. Based on year I thought I had a JL. Upon googling. I’m an idiot lol

Hey all,

Just got my first Jeep - after a lot of back-and-forth, I went all-in and got a Rubicon. I'm loving every mile and looking forward to learning enough to use it to its potential.

I have zero off-road experience (my youth was spent as a drive-fast-in-a-straight-line American muscle car guy, not in trucks of any kind), and there's not much accessible to the public here in MA. I've already joined a forum in NH.

As exciting as all the 'lifts and big tires' talk is, my plan is to stay bone stock until I find the limits of this thing. It seems insanely capable as-is, and part of me thinks anyplace it can't go is probably someplace I shouldn't be anyway.

Which brings me to my question: what ARE the limits of the stock Rubicon?

New first time jeep owner in Phoenix, checking in. Picked up my 2018 JL Black Rubicon Sunday. Only have 100 miles on it so far, I have a bunch of questions!

I've been a BMW guy for a long time and loved taking my car out on the track and pushing it to its limits. I'm excited to have a Jeep and explore off roading.

I'll make a separate thread to ask a few questions.

See you all in the forums.

Hello...new to this Forum. My name is Nicole I’m originally from Philly and live in Oceanside, CA since 2007. We purchased our first Jeep in Anza Borrego Desert. We still have the 97 Jeep Cherokee(190,000 mi)
It’s my main car and I LOVE it. I don’t want to get rid of it but we placed our order for a Firecracker Red 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport (soft top).
I’m super excited for it. Just got my VIN on it.
I’ve been reading some of the posts and learning a lot!!

Hello everyone, first post and long time follower of this awesome forum. This is my first wrangler and super excited to the world of mods. I have a 2018 jlus in firecracker red and had it for a month with 950 miles and it has been sweet. In the past ive had several luxury vehicles and none of them has made me feel this way. Once i started the first simple mod which was installing door sills it has opened up a hole in my pockets because im hooked and the posibilities are endless!

First time posting on these forums, been looking at the new JLs for a few weeks, have never owned a Jeep but love the new look. Still trying to decide what color, thought I would like the Sting Gray and saw it in person and was not a fan. So I have narrowed it down to Firecracker Red and Ocean Blue(but have not seen it in person yet). Any advice about options would be great.

Color is totally about preference and patience at this point. Dealers barely can keep them in stock and with the options that you want. If you are not in a rush i suggest you custom order it the exact way you want it. I was open to color options and i chose my red sahara because it was a popular color and they had it in stock with the options i wanted but if you want blue, orange or sting gray at this point is hard to find. I personally like any of those 3 colors but if you go on the sting gray thread you get inspire to order one. I had a granite grand cherokee and silver benz and was just tired of gray. Blue and red are so oposite that is totally about preference but i suggest you see the colors in person before order. Hope you fall in love with one.

Hello from VA! Just placed an order for a JLU Rubicon in Ocean Blue. Been following this site for months and thanks to everyone for all the great info. I owned several JKs and looking forward to my first JLU.
