Saw an interesting post on a Bronco forum asking how 'loud' the inside is. So, I downloaded NIOSH (app for measuring decibels). Took measurement from the console between the seats at:

50mph -- 65.6dB (A)
60mph -- 67.7dB (A)
70mph -- 69.8dB (A)

2021 Rubicon, hardtop, 35x12.5x17 tires, 8spd auto

Not as loud as I thought it would be honestly.

Interesting, any chance you could measure up around ear level? I know with our hard top, and an empty back end, it can sound "boomy". Adding an alien shade helped with that some.

Sure can. I can tell you that cruising at around 60mph with the windows down was around 79dB(A)

Bestop Sunrider at 80+ mph is not particularly quiet, likely exceeds the dB(A) levels above, but haven't measured it. Of course, one doesn't buy the Sunrider for quiet cruising...

Silence is deafening for the prospective Bronco owner due to the noise inside the mind. The internal problem makes them nocturnal which does not allow for any release. No nocturnal emissions. :giggle:
