I just ordered the 2.5GC system with Rocksports for my '21 JLUR 3.6/manual transmission. Also ordered the tie rod, drag link, damper and front driveshaft. Are there any other supporting mods that need to go on for this to work well? Do I need any geometry correction? I'm going to call them on Monday day, not dead sure that I want the 2.5 instead of 3.5 lift. Will be on 37s. Will be re-gearing the diffs of course.

You definitely won’t need anything else for the Jeep to ride, drive, and flex well(in my opinion much better than stock) with that set up. The stock ball joints aren’t great, but even they made it past 40k miles (28k on 37’s). If/when they get worn replace them with HD units that don’t have the plastic liners.

28k miles on 37s. Great info, thanks. What do you think are the right ball joints to run? I do spend a good deal of time offroad.

The dynatrac ball joints are supposed to be the best on the market and are rebuildable without being removed. That being said, our stockers died days before a road trip and the only ones I could get in 2 days were the Spicer hd's. They've been on the jeep for 12k miles so far, the last 4k on 38's without issue. Still tight and good as new.

Zach’s got you covered, I’d add that if when you do ball joints, I wouldn’t put them in the aluminum knuckles….

I've been told the aluminum knucks will be the first thing to let go. I'll probably deal with that pretty soon.

Yeah, I mean you’re going at the right way, IMO. I did it that way too, all at once more or less, and I’ve never had any bumpsteer , shimmying, or DW, going on 4 years now…you got some guys that get away with running stock steering for a while, the lucky ones, but there’s way more that I work on that aren’t lucky….. why let the knuckles come back to bite you in the ass later. If you don’t do ball joints right away, then they’d definitely be the first place to look if you end up with shimmy, DW . Ive replaced preemptively at 5k and seen them trashed as early as 10k……just some .02…..
