Yes on the RV but that's what keeps your payments low. If you like it keep it at the end! You are not paying more for it, just later rather than sooner.
Actually yes I would be paying more for it. For my vehicle, the difference between 74% (Ally) and 69% (CC) is roughly $2,300 in RV. That's about $63/month spread over 36 months. The CC lease monthly payments were higher (don't remember exactly what they were) but not $63 a month higher. Regardless it's not a decision I need to make for another 35 months :). If these vehicles hold their value I'll gladly buy it post-lease.

Just got lease numbers from Affinity Fed CU. Ask your dealer if they use them because their residuals and MF are incredible compared to CC.

36/39 - 12K miles, 75%
48/12 - 72%

MF .00190 but they do have a $995 acquisition fee and it does NOT include GAP.

For what it is worth I did US Bank in April. I talked to my dealer and he said the residual went down 2% for may. He said all in all it would have been about a $40 increase for May compared to April.

That is impressive. The RV is amazing. Unfortunately, my dealer won’t use them :(

My dealer said they don’t use Affinity. So don’t trust the Affinity website. Then he said this,

“Ok with Ally, for 36 month lease the Residual is 72%. Now the Money Factors are listed a little different but the rate is 7.50%. With a 48 month Lease Residual is 69% and rate is 8%.”

Please someone tell me he is marking that MF up and marking it up significantly!

And I’m Top tier btw

That MF is insane - the 7.5% converts to MF of .003125....

Still, run the numbers - you may be better off with that residual (as long as you are not planning to buy out at the end of the lease).

That money factor offsets the higher residual and some. I have to believe he is marking it up significantly. I asked and he hasn’t responded so....

I’m still trying to determine Chrysler Capital MF this month. Haven’t received an answer from my dealer on that either.

Read through the above link, good info on RVs to expect from CC and generally a good estimate on the MF from CC.

I’ll try to let you know any information I find out. I can’t imagine tier 1 with Ally is 7.5-8%. That’s just insanity. Makes CC 5.9% (assuming it went to .00246 this month) look awesome :swear:

I also spoke to Affinity rep. No reason my dealer can’t use them so I’m going to explore that route too.

Affinity told me my dealer doesn’t use them, and made it sound like quite the process for a dealer to decide to use them. Is that correct? Or is it easy for my dealer to get on board with a new CU?

For what it’s worth, Affinity told me they don’t currently work with any dealers in Ohio, where I am.

I have to believe there is something in their deals driving dealers away. I’m going to talk to my dealer and find out because per Affinity they have used them in the past.

As for Ally’s 7.5-8%. That may be accurate because I just read on the Edmunds forum the standard rate on a Charger lease is 10%!! Also, Toyota upped their MF to .00230 on the Tacoma this month. So would not be surprised if CC is .00246.

The ally rate being higher is because they calculate their leases differently. It balances out usually because they have a higher RV.
