It looks like it would possibly interfere with the top bolt for the Maximus frame tie in. I purchased 2 cobalt bits (1/2") and drilling was going great. Drilling out the top bolt holes (4 of them) was pretty easy since there was already a starter hole and new drill bits. The middle hole has to bore through maybe 1/2" thick steel. My bits were absolutely cutting but IMO it would have been maybe a half hour per hole (x4). It's about 100 degrees here & I wasn't patient enough. I did email Joe @ Maximus, if he says it must be the larger bolt I guess I'll go back.Did you try using a new cobalt bit to enlarge the middle hole to 1/2"?
