I have the Maximus-3 JL 2 Door Roof Rack system (Rhino Rack). Great rack…I need the ladder for the side that they made to accompany the system to help with putting my kayaks up on it. Right now it is a climb on the tires then to spare on the gate. Up is easy down a little more tricky now that I’m 50. Younger me would just jump.
anyone out there have one they are looking to part with? Maximus has been showing out of stock for months and I haven’t been able to get a firm answer if more are going to be manufactured. I have a few of their components on my JL and so far loving them.TIA

Ouch. Really? Sorry but you can't have mine.
(My knees wouldn't appreciate the jump either)

Come on @Maximus-3 some of us have age defying needs here!

In the meantime you may want to look into a door latch step. It's not much help to get all the way up there but it should be enough to give you the reach you need.

Here’s an option:

Hinge Steps

If you go this route make sure to read up on the installation technique, as the factory hinge bolts can be a bitch to remove.

I wouldn't recommend those. On a 2dr that step is at the very front of the windshield while the rack only goes up to the freedom panels. It's not very useful to step up that far forward.

It would need to be a strike plate step so its on the rear side of the door. Something like this.

I appreciate all the flow of ideas and solutions. I don’t want to tote a ladder in a cramped 2 door know what I mean.

Ah I get it. Would definitely improve since I can’t stand on the flares which would be nice. Teraflex makes handles for the top, aid in removal. Not recommended as a step though. They are bolted through the top at the base
