Maximus-3 Short Roof Rack + RhinoRack Compact Batwing + Bestop Sunrider

I'm planning on getting the short roof rack from Maximus-3 for my JLUR that works with my Bestop Sunrider. The RhinoRack compact batwing awning looks like a great addition to that setup, but wonder if it will still allow my Sunrider top to open and close. If anyone has this setup I'd be glad to know how it's working.

Now to somewhat get back on track after that hip pocket class we had.

Im thinking about eventually doing this one. It fits and you can still remove the freedom panels.

I don’t think though because of its size that you could bolt it back far enough for the sunrider though..



Brad (TrailRecon) in the video was a Corpsmen in the Navy with Marines so I’m sure he knows all about the ole batwing and possibly the Hamburger as well, but that’s a class for another day.

Should always check urban dictionary prior to naming a product. As soon as it goes there, it’s hard to bring it back on topic. Maybe someone just makes an awning you like? Ha.

I think most of the Jeep specific racks allow the freedom panels to come off. But yes you want to call and confirm to be safe. I just ordered the Gobi rack so I don’t have to drill holes in my top. Should get it by 2021. Plan to get one of the ARB AWNING attachments for sure now. Can’t give my Jeep a batwing now.

I think I’m going to get the batwing now just because it’s name is the batwing. Then I can tell my friends, “check out........,,the batwing, but say it like Ron Burgandy. HAHA

• The sliding rack version of LOD's rack rides high enough that when cantilevered over the side of the rig, and the Bestop Sunrider is opened, and the rack is slide back, that....

clearance for the Bestop Sunrider to open is the case.​
