I’m new to this forum so my apologies if I’ve posted in wrong category.
Have you installed the Maximus XLP HOOP on ur JLU and if so are you happy with it? Is only the Center hoop 2.5"out side diameter or are the outer tubes also 2.5’’?
Can you tell me how much of a height gap there is from the the bumper up to the underside of the the tube on each of the 3 tubes..
Also how many bolts secure it to the bumper since there is no hardware available to tie it to the frame?
Thanks in advance

Maximus-3 makes top quality parts. The XLP is a very new product, so not sure if anyone here has gotten it yet. I've had their SLP bull bar for over 3 years and it still looks brand new. It's basically the XLP without the outer wings.

Yes, all of their bumper bars are constructed from 2.5" tubing, which is why I chose one of them. In my opinion, it looks more proportionate to the JL than the 2" tubing used by all others. The XLP's center tube is 2.5" and the outer wings are 2". The main center bar has 2 bolts per side and each wing has 1 bolt, for a total of 6 attaching points. There is just over 6" of space between the bumper and the center section of the bar. I'm not sure about the space under the wings, but from pictures it looks like about 3".

Here's my SLP, which like mentioned before is the XLP without the wings...

Yes I agree the Maximus with 2.5" hoop just seems to keep everything proportional and it sounds like it’ would be firmly mounted not that anyone would use it as a anchor point. I just wanted to make sure it would be firmly anchored to the bumper. I thought the wings were about 2" just wasn’t sure.
You’ve had no rust issues?
What lights do you have mounted on that bumper they look good and are those the rugged ridge fender flares?
My Jeep is the 2019 JLUR in Billet Silver 37" Nitto ridge grappler 3 1/2 Jks lift otherwise stock so far with the the exception of the Maximus I may purchase.
Looks like u have one nicely built rig.
Thanks for sharing ur thoughts

Wasn’t sure if I should’ve gotten this or their classic bar but I’m loving the XLP. It’s beefy and looks right on the OEM bumper.

There were rust spots on their supplied hardware within 2 weeks (had lots of rain). Just took it apart, cleaned, sprayed and it’s been fine since ✊🏼✊🏼🪵

Zero rust issues after over 3 yrs on the front of a Jeep that rarely gets washed.

Yes, it's definitely solidly attached. Mine is extra solid because the SLP has optional chassis reinforcement brackets that I added. Not sure why they aren't an option for all the bars. They bridge the gap between the frame and the underside of the bumper directly under the bar attachment points.

The lights on the bumper are Baja Designs LP4 Pros in amber. Awesome lights! Each one puts out 8750 lumens, and also have an amber running light that I wired to the Jeeps running light circuit.

The fender flares are the factory Rubicon ones that I chopped and added the fender brace with integrated leds from American Adventure Labs.

Thanks for the kind words, and welcome to the community!

Here's a few pics for you. Mounts very solid to the bumper. It leaves enough rom to attach a hoop from a tow strap to the hooks if needed, unlike the Warn hoop.

are you able to run this hoop without the side wings? looks like it attaches to the end pieces themselves

The XLP comes with spacers to go under the outermost mounting holes for when the bumper wings are removed.

Thanks! Photography ain’t my thing so I’ll take what I can get.

No rust on welds, only on the bolts. Seems to have been a quick and easy fix and I’m happy with the weight and fit of it.
