Hi @cmmurray77, the Maximus-3 JL Winch Plate includes has separate holes for mounting offset winches. But we have not yet personally tested the 9.5 CTI on our winch plate. We are awaiting confirmation feedback. On paper it looks like the 9.5 CTI will just fit (off-set mount) but it will be tight. We will make the announcement once we get confirmation. Please check back soonIām wanting to transfer my Warn 9.5 CTI from my JK over to my JL factory steel bumper. Iāve read there might be fitment issues but havenāt confirmed. Do you know if the CTI will fit with your plate?
Your instructions & install video are a little misleading.Install Video
Installed my VR-10S over the weekend. No issues for the most part.Your instructions & install video are a little misleading.
- The skidplate brackets need to be removed & trimmed before the winch plate will fit. Also the skidplate wont fit unless brackets are adjusted.
- Since you have to remove these brackets anyway, it's becomes way easier to get to the lower winch plate nuts from the bottom.
- I found it physically impossible to bolt a Zeon down after the bumper was installed. Bolts are too long, not enough clearance.
- It's possible to bolt a Zeon to the plate before the bumper. Factory nuts can be used. Thread them on as the bumper is being remounted.
- Tightening the outer bumper nuts first is wrong. If you are going to have issues it would be with the inner bolts. Tighten them first.
- The winch mounting holes are not aligned very well with a Zeon.

How close does the winch sit to the grille with maximus 3 winch plate? Do you have any pics from above?Just wanted to say I recently purchased the Maximus-3 Winch plate, D-Ring loops and license plate Stealth mount and absolutely love them!
Very strong easy to install (even with the modifications needed for the D-Ring installs). Plan on ordering the filler kit (I missed those in my original order) and maybe the loop still undecided on that.
Thanks @Maximus-3 for the great products!
It depends on the winch. For example: the Warn Zeon sits very close, because it's a very large winch. The smaller winches, like an X20 or VR, have a bit more room.How close does the winch sit to the grille with maximus 3 winch plate? Do you have any pics from above?

We are just working with the limited space FCA provided. If we spaced it any further forward then the winch would start making contact with the bumper. We choose the sweet spot to mount winches.
Not at this time, maybe in the future.Do you happen to have a pic with a x20?
When will your video be ready? I just recieved your winch plate and would like to watch it before hand.Thanks for the feedback @AnnDee4444.
UPDATE: FCA has made some changes to the JL/JLU (the skid plate bracket being one of them) Their changes have prompted Maximus-3 to make some revisions to our JL Winch Plate. The design remained the same, we just added some features to improve fitment and the overall install process. Introducing the new and improved Gen 2 Maximus-3 JL Winch Plate.
Some of the installation processes, sequences, and steps have changed. Today we are editing our install guide and shooting a new install video. We will share them as soon as possible.
Features include:
* 100% bolt-on application (absolutely no cutting, drilling, bending, nor other modifications necessary)
* High strength 1/4" thick steel plate
* Strategic bends incorporated to improve rigidity
* Fits most popular winches
* Incredibly strong
* Made in the USA
Glad you like the product!Just finished installing my @Maximus-3 winch plate (updated version) with a Smittybilt X20 winch. Here are my thoughts
1. Itās very sturdy and constructed well.
2. The directions call for the inner reinforcement brackets and the skid plate brackets to be removed NOT SURE WHY?? they donāt need to be removed (waste of time).
3. The wrong bolts got packaged, I needed M12ās and got two M10ās. Took me 40min. to get to a Loweās and get the correct bolts. More wasted time.
In conclusion the parts are nice but having the wrong bolts and extra steps in the directions were a pain.
