Does anyone know what the max tire size is before this setup in the pic no longer fits? @Maximus-3

Here's a picture of the gap between my stock 33" tire and the Hi-Lift Mount, which looks to be about 4 inches. My guess is the biggest tire you could run with the Rotopax/Hi-Lift setup is 35", but hopefully M3 will confirm!

For those of you with the maximus-3 tire carrier, do you have an uncovered space as large as this at the top of the hinge?

I'm pretty sure I pushed the hinge up as high as it could go. The slots in the holes for the hinges are horizontal so you can adjust in and out not up and down so even if I loosened the hinges and tried to move them up, the best I could get is 1/16".
Now the bottom hinge only has about 1/8" gap.

I also had to slot the plate(pic below) to get it down lower. The hard plastic cradle piece didn't have enough adjustment.

As far as the hinges that attach to the tailgate(not the tire carrier hinges), they line up perfectly as expected.
My door closes perfectly though. Way better than before.

I’m getting my TC in about a week and might attempt a video.
Okay, no video. Lol. Too much involved in getting this tire carrier on to bother with recording it As well. I’ll post a List of issues I had to overcome later. Very nice tire carrier tho. :like:

Does the carrier re-use parts from the stock carrier, or is the kit all-inclusive? I discovered my wheels don’t fit on my stock carrier. It appears one bolt is bent out from the camera mount, but the stock rim I took off still fits (weird, and concerning). I’m wondering if I should just mount 4 tires for now, or if I can do all 5 and just wait to put the spare back until my carrier arrives.

Very much considering this carrier but wondering about the camera mount. The 2021's supposedly have a slightly different rear camera (I have the trailcam as well which might be why the rear is different). Does your carrier work with the different camera?

Thanks

How are these holding up? I’m considering one myself!

honestly, despite kind of being a pain to mount, it has been stellar. Major beef and good engineering design means that my heavy 37 spare is rock solid. Powder coat holding up perfect. I love it. I’m a fan of Maximus 3 gear, and this did not disappoint.

Dumb question. Is this the correct mast? I can’t figure out how to mount my third brake light.

Edit: Wrong mast, Maximus is shipping me a new one. My third brake light is zip-tied in place for now.

Thank you!! It’s between this and the Motoblur for me, but I’m leaning in this direction
The maximum size recommended for this is 37"!

So a 37 will work withjust the rotopax mount then I’m assuming?

40” with the reinforcement bracket. So if I was doing 37 and extra weight I’d just get the bracket.
