@Fire Burns,

Thanks for being a great customer and for weighing in on this topic.

We aren't twisting anyone's arm to buy our products.
We aren't attempting to deceive anyone.
If a product has an unacceptable feature - then we encourage people not to buy it.

We make damn good Jeep parts. We live up to our slogan of "dependable quality"
We are talking about one inch here... and most people don't even notice it.
Totally agree with you and yes, I still do have a number of Maximus-3 on my wish list. Nothing but quality from you guys. How you proceed is your choice, but again I would just be upfront on your website so customers know exactly what they're getting, to include pics that clearly detail the feature.

Guys looking for some technical help on my install, it's after hours and hoping someone knows how to fix tailgate alignment. I installed everything (except the rienforecment plate, which shouldn't make a difference) and the tailgate was perfectly lined up until I put the spare on. After I mounted my spare, I have a 1/4" drop at the driver side tailgate. Not sure what the best way to correct this is? Do you shim the lower bracket at the inside tub? do you just loosen the tailgate and adjust the tailgate?

Give us a call and we will talk you through it 248-821-6654.
Basically you just need to bias the tailgate up by utilizing the adjustments built into the hinges.

I just slightly loosened the bolts on the tailgate portion of the hinge to the point they were snug enough to hold but lose enough to let me lift the tailgate.
Liked up great and now it honestly shits better than stock. Probably just the weight of the 35, but who knows

It's definitely off centered. But I don't ever notice until I start reading these threads.
I also think it helps provide nice clearance/access to the tailgate handle.
With a 35 you would be reaching behind the tire or right against the tread to open the gate.
Probably not a big deal, but I for one prefer it the way it is.
With all the lopsided sh** I have hanging off my jeep its hardly an issue for me.
Just my thoughts, to each his own.

@Maximus-3 do you guys make an antenna bracket to easily bolts on the TC? If not you should because I need it!

Thanks guys!

I finished the isntall and the back up camera view is great, with my tire rim combo I have a good picture from the back up camera (as good as stock). The back up camera does not need to be removed to remove the tire. Very nice design.

I finished my install and wanted to post some pictures of the TC. I am very happy with the TC design and quality, nice job Maximus-3! Here are a couple of pics of the TC completed, I haven't decided where I'm going to mount my license plate, for now it is zip tied to the bottom of the tire (maybe its permanent home) or I am thinking about going with Artec's license plate relocation bracket.
Some have voiced concerns about the TC being off center, and I can't say I really notice it, in fact if it was perfectly centered it would partially block the door handle.

Apologies if I missed this...on the base version, where and how does the third brake light mount? Does it have to be removed to access the spare tire?

Was about to place an order as I had their tire carrier on my JK and was happy to see it was also available the JL. However, I don't recall the JK one being off-centered and that was one of the main selling points to me over the AEV JK tire carrier which mounted the tire off to the right side. Well, I'm glad I ran into this thread and can understand how @Jfive feels. Hope the Maximus has plans to come up with a centered version.

Thanks guys!
We have a couple brackets that would hold an antenna
* the accessory mast (comes in the Sports Package) it has provisions to hold flags/antennas/ lights/etc.
* part# JK2008SB - attaches to the main structure. Many customers choose this bracket to mount their CB antennas. https://maximus-3.com/accessories/tire-carrier-accessories/side-backup-led-light-bracket

I know there are more accesory mounts/brackets in the works. I will voice your suggestion at our next meeting. Cheers!!

Hi @DVJeeper,
We appreciate your feedback and thanks for sharing pictures. I know our engineers were working on a license plate solution, I will check with them and then update you accordingly.
Cheers!

The Base version comes with a 3rd BRAKE light that sits inside/behind the spare. It does NOT need to be removed in order to remove the tire. Something like this picture.
