Looks like that is the new model that hasn’t been released yet by Rhino.I could be wrong, but here's what I (think I) am seeing:
As best I can tell, the current pioneer platform leading cross member is slightly rounded on top with a flat leading edge.
The one shown in the SEMA photos tapers a bit and the leading edge is angled back, which I assume helps reduce wind noise from the rack.

I could be totally wrong about all of this and maybe it's just the camera angle playing tricks on me. I thought it was mentioned in the Rhinorack SEMA thread but I read through the thread again and couldn't find it so perhaps I dreamed the whole thing.
60”x 54” and 76”x 54”What is the sizes of the long and short platforms?
Thanks60”x 54” and 76”x 54”
You bet-I knew right where those dimensions were! Which one are you thinking about? Thanks
Yes please to the 2DR effort.Would be nice if the 2-door rack is compatible with removing the freedom panels. And/Or maybe opening the Sunrider for Hardtop. Just a little input from a likely end-user.
Hi @alkapinHi @maxumus-3 I have just finished installing the long version of the platform with an optional ladder on my 2018 JLUR. Looks great! Now, do you have any experience or recommendations for installation of the ikamper skycamp RTT? I don't want the platform railings to minimize the height, so the bottom of the RTT will sit directly on the platform. But normal install of this RTT required a roof cargo railing that runs perpendicular to the vehicle length, but the platform slats run parallel to the length. So it is not very obvious how to mount Skycamp. Looks like that mounting brackets needs to be refabricated to rotate 90 degrees. Anyone has done it before with this combo? I have attached Skycamp mounting details pdf.
Well done!Hot off the press. The Maximus-3 JL Roof Rack SHORT platform is fully compatible with the Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop for JL.
Confirmed by Dr. David N. Thanks for blazing that trail with your sweet Mojito JLUR.
High capacity Maximus-3 roof rack + easy open air from @BestopTeam = an iconic duo.
That is what i was waiting for. Did you have to drill new holes? or is maximus 3 able to drill them for us before they ship out?Hot off the press. The Maximus-3 JL Roof Rack SHORT platform is fully compatible with the Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop for JL.

This is also the RTT I'm thinking about. Let me know if anyone gets this installed.Hi @alkapin
There are several custom mounting solutions that come to mind. Let's go over them to figure out what works best for you.
Option 1: Rotating your your mounting brackets 90* sounds like a viable solution, depending on the amount of custom work required.
Option 2: Try to use the plank's channels to mount your tent. Similar to our Maximus-3 custom RTT mounting solution (see attached install guide.) You can slip channel-nuts into the planks and then bolt your tent directly to the platform.
Option 3: Install some crossbars from Rhino Rack on top of your platform. The crossbars run perpendicular to the length of the Jeep. This option does add about an inch of height
Option 4: In between the 5 planks on the platform you can access the underneath crossbars. If the space between the planks matches your tent's mounting dimensions you could run a bracket or u-bolt under the crossbars on the underside of the platform.
I'm sure there are other ways to "skin this cat." Hope this is helpful.

This combo does not require any additional holes, nor custom mounting. Just install the Short Roof Rack per the normal instructions and you are good to go.That is what i was waiting for. Did you have to drill new holes? or is maximus 3 able to drill them for us before they ship out?
Maximus-3 provides an excellent platform for holding RTT's with a 900+ pound static load rating. There are dozens of tents on the market, sometimes it takes a little custom mounting to fit certain tents to our Rack. But where there is a will there is a way. I'm sure it's doable by choosing one of the options we mentioned. This is also the RTT I'm thinking about. Let me know if anyone gets this installed.
