While we're at it, who do you trust in the Atlanta area (preferably north)?
@JeepGA looks like there are a lot of off-road shops in your area and I bet most of them do great work. My top two are:
* Fortec 4x4, Marietta - they were one of our earliest distributors, jumping on board about 5 years ago. They are a great company and have installed hundreds of Maximus-3 parts. Can't go wrong with Fortec 4x4.
* AVW Offroad & Performance - They order a lot of Maximus-3 parts and I've seen some nice builds from them. My contact over there is Matt.

Cheers.

We have seen a couple innovative RTT mounting solutions. Maximus-3 came up with our own custom RTT mounting solution using lag-bolts and the rack's channels. Please share your tricks too, we appreciate it.

My intent is to use the channels to keep it as low as possible. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks. I've talked to the Roswell Fortec guys a few times and I didn't get the sense that they did work with you. I'll keep These in mind.

I haven't done the research or math yet but how much does the short rack vs. long rack limit the RTT tent choices? Just thinking out loud, I suspect some overhang in the front wouldn't be a big issue as the RTTs have solid floors???

Another question, I assume washing the hardtop roof is near impossible after the Pioneer installation?

Fortec 4x4 Rosewell has placed several orders with us in 2019.

@55WillysWagon, both the Long 76" x 54" and Short 60" x 54" provide a strong ample base to mount a Roof Rack Tent (RTT) The main factor is the tent's mounting dimensions. If the RTT's mounting dimensions fall inside the rack's dimensions - you should be golden. The tent's body can overhang the rack, nothing wrong there.

Pairing a tent is typically straight forward, but rare cases require different RTT mounting hardware. The short rack can hold many different tents, especially the ones that fold in half. Long story short, the Maximus-3 roof rack is great for holding most RTT's

I had mine installed about a month ago, a long version with no railings. Took the jeep today for some offroading for the first time since then. What I have noticed is those planks rattles quite a bit on a gravel road. Have anyone noticed that as well? Try to step on the wheel and hit it on the rack frame few times. I found if I do it, especially from the top, the whole thing rattles. I have all bolts properly tighted, I have checked. It seems to me that rattles occurs in spots where these long flat planks sit on top of the smaller support beams that runs across the rack. There are no connecting bolts between the two. So ones you hit it or car shakes on uneven roads these pieces will rattle against each other.

@Maximus-3 any advise on that?

Thanks.

It was nice talking with you this weekend and thanks for sending pictures. Upon investigation we have concluded that your rack was installed without all the necessary parts. Turns out you are missing the clamps (tabs) & hardware. The clamps tabs hold the long planks to the crossbar supports. These clamps are 100% necessary for strength, integrity, safety, and to avoid the rattles.

One of two things happened here: either the install shop forgot to install them - OR - Rhino Rack forgot to include all the parts and hardware in your Pioneer Platform. In our opinion whoever installed your rack should have noticed that many parts were missing, especially if they looked at the install guide.

Maximus-3 is here to help. Regardless of who messed up you definitely need these components. Maximus-3 has already requested your missing parts from Rhino Rack (the manufacturer of your Pioneer Platform.) We will follow-up with you as soon as we have more information. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, glad we can help resolve your issue. The roof rack does not make noise when installed properly with all components.

Don’t know if this is user error, but in checking the Maximus-3 website from my iPhone I notice I can’t click the “Menu”.

I can check my cart, use the search function, click the links, but can’t open the Menu. Anyone else seeing that?

We are aware of this issue. I have brought this up to our website admin and they are working on it. Also we are cooking-up a brand new website ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience, it should be temporary.

The sound bar has two tricky bolts but it is no biggie. I did relocate it as that was part of the kit that Maximus-3 provides. Super easy!
I just got my rack installed (long version) after a couple minor issues. One major OMG/PIA issue was that I installed the Hotheads liners a couple months ago. Easily doubled the installation time!

But I do now have a problem with the relocated satellite antenna. When driving east it looks like the Freedom panel metal latch is blocking the signal. Have you (or anybody else) seen this?
