Dang, surface rust? I’d expect better powder coating for that kind of price…

Regarding the rust, I took a closer look at the area in question. I think what happened is the power coating fractured when installing the forward facing mounting bolts. Totally my fault. There are no other areas of rust on the hoop. Here is a photo of the area in question.

5 minute install. Easy. Starting to see some surface rust around the welds but I'm still loving it.

Mine is doing the same thing and the powder coating is cracking all around the mounting points. I've considered taking it off all together.

Maximus-3 JL Classic Hoop mounted on 392 bumper in forward leaning position. The hoop offers excellent protection of the lights mounted to the Maximus-3 Dually Aux bracket.

How much space is under the hoop to the bumper? Looking at mounting KC Gravity Pro6’s on the bumper under the hoop But need to know if there is room with the hoop slanted forward.

Loving all the pics, after all these years STILL one of the best hoops out there. I will post an updated photo regarding any rust. I'll send it to maximus too and see how they respond. Regardless of "fault" it should he provided in instructions if its that sensitive. Last I checked I thinK i had the same amount around the screws.

How much space is under the hoop to the bumper? Looking at mounting KC Gravity Pro6’s on the bumper under the hoop But need to know if there is room with the hoop slanted forward.

The vertical distance is 9 inches. It fits up to 9" lights if the hoop is mounted leaning towards the grill as intended.
