I won't complain if you wanted to make a pit stop in Denver on your way through so I can see your lift in person!

Unfortunately EJS isn't in the cards for me this year. Have fun and get lots of good testing done out on the rocks.

Big thanks goes out to the Maximus-3 team! They stopped in Denver on their way out to Moab so I could check out their Geo Lift in person. Definitely class act to take time out of their schedule to meet up with a potential customer. The lift looks great in person and drives decent. It’s definitely well thought out and a fair bit of engineering went into it.

Maximus-3 EJS2019 update:

The trip has been great. It started with a 1600 mile road trip from Detroit to Moab. The drive was pleasant thanks to the Maximus-3 Geo-Lift's superior ride quality. Along our route we had time to stop in Denver and let JLWF member @clobato test drive our JLUR.

We arrived in Moab Sunday night and we were on the trails early Monday morning. Eager to personally test the Geo-Lift on gnarly Moab trails.
Top of the World - no problem
Fins and Things - easy peasy
Hell's Revenge & Hell's Gate (with RubiTrux) - good times.
We even did a night ride with our official off-road lighting partner TYRI Lights. The canyon was lit.

Looking forward to the trade-show and hitting more trails before we get out of here. In conclusion: the Maximus-3 Geo-Lift is perfect for taking you wherever you need to go, whether that's across the country or over boulders & mountains. Extremely proud of how well the Geo-Lift performs on & off road.

Moab EJS 2019 was such a cool experience. If you love all things Jeep, I highly recommend it. EJS is part adventure, part carnival, and part social spectacle.

Background: I ordered a new JL in February, went through the build process in March and along the way this project took on a focus to have it all done in mid April in time for a father & son trip to Moab for our first EJS. It was one heck of a project, and it turned out great. Special thanks to members of this forum for advice on how to purchase my new JL at the right price and similarly, for the guidance gained from forum members on recommended products and manufacturers for my build.

The build I wanted to achieve was completely focused on capability - I wanted a Jeep that would be a beast on the trail; ready for Moab and Rubicon, yet still be a reasonable daily driver..

Maximus-3: In January I started reading posts about this company in Michigan called Maximus-3 and their pending new suspension geometry correction / lift / high steer kit. Digging in, I sifted through posts discussing their roof racks, winch plates, spare tire carriers, light brackets... all or most of the comments lauded Maximus-3's quality engineering. I'm a huge fan of Engineers and work with amazing Engineers every day within my business. What appealed to me about what I read concerning M-3's new kit was geometry correction and high steer. I called Maximus-3 and spoke with Matt about their kit and after a few minutes he asked if I would like him to invite their head Engineer into the conversation. Hell yes!

Now a few months has gone by and I've spoken multiple times with Matt and he's a quality person and a great customer advocate. Maximus-3's secret weapon is their top-flight Head Engineer Joe. Not only is Joe an accomplished designer and Engineer, but he can translate design features into the value and benefit it delivers to the consumer. I was sold. Joe is also extremely generous with his time in support of their customers. Joe called and texted me during the install to ensure my questions were answered. I appreciated the extra effort, but the install guide was complete and very easy to follow. Overall Maximus-3 is one of the best companies I've ever worked with and definitely the best manufacturer associated with my JL build project.

Moab Experience: My new JL (outfitted with the Maximus-3 Geolift 3.5" kit with adjustable Falcon reservoir shocks and 38"x13.5" Milestar Patagonias on Hutchison Rock Monster DOT-legal bead locks) proved to be a beast on the trail. It handled every climb and descent - the best Moab had to offer - and it inspired confidence as I got to know my new Jeep and its capabilities. On the trails around Moab, the suspension and tires worked very well together to provide a super composed experience. I aired-down to 10 PSI using Innovative JK Products' Air management system and ARB dual compressor. In 4-Low with the trans in manual mode 1st or 2nd gear and sway bars disconnected and hill descent mode activated, I found I could climb and descend any obstacle and keep up with more radical dedicated trail rigs. The slick rock in Moab is like sandpaper and the Patagonias were pretty amazing. It was my first time in Moab and I followed seasoned drivers with decades of experience and this was a great way to learn "the ropes".

By the end of our week, we had driven 2,500 miles from MN to Utah and back and another 300 miles in and around Moab, including a 90 mile run up and back to my new favorite trail, Hotel Rock. Our JL provided a comfortable ride at 85 MPH on the Interstate, up and down twisties and along unimproved county roads all over Moab and Arches National Park. I'm loving my new Jl - it is "point and shoot" on the trail and a very comfortable and useful daily driver. The Maximus-3 Geolift combined with the Patagonias is just magic on the trails and quiet and well mannered in town and on the highway. Full disclosure - I'm not sponsored by anyone, just a paying customer and weekend warrior. Also, I installed the brand new Maximus-3 spare tire carrier the same day I left for Moab and this product is so sweet. It deserves its own post, so I'll do that in a few days. If you are planning a JL build, I highly recommend Maximus-3. Good, hardworking people, great products and terrific customer support. Send a private message if you have any questions.

@Sven

It was our pleasure to finally meet you and your son at EJS. Thank you for taking the time to write a testimonial of this caliber, it means a lot to us. Glad to hear that your Moab trip was a huge success and a memorable father-son adventure. We are passionate about the Jeep community - it's rewarding to hear stories like this and to make friends along the way.

For a first time EJS'er you looked like a seasoned vet out there, very well done. It has been our pleasure to work with you on this build. You are a true professional and class-act. We hope our paths cross again in the future.

Be well and Jeep on,
the entire Maximus-3 crew

p.s. Shout out to the engineers at FCA for making such an incredible off-road vehicle with the Jeep Wrangler JL. Maximus-3 is proud to make high-quality aftermarket parts that, in our opinion, enhance this vehicle's capabilities.
