My JLUR is coming in tomorrow and I've scourged this site for months as a lurker; tons of great information to digest.

I am getting the 2" mopar lift with the mopar beadlock wheels. The beadlock are 8" wide vs the stock rubicon at 7.5". My dealer is saying that they don't want to do a tire install greater than a 305/70 or a 285/75; Is there something I am missing here? I was hoping for 35s to be installed but now I'm questioning.

Any concerns or recommendations?

You can do 35's easy on that thing. That green mopar performance JLUR on a is on a mopar 2" lift with 35's and those beadlocks so your dealer really doesn't know quite what they are talking about...

The position of the dealer is, "to mount safely a 12.5" wide tier should be mounted on a rim no narrower than 8.5"".

Does anyone here share any "safety" concerns with this approach? I was thinking the 315/70 BFGs as the replacement for stock if I can "safely" do 35s on this rim.

Admittedly I have zero experience with beadlock on previous vehicles but I've always wanted a set...now I have that opportunity .

They are BEADLOCKS. It's not like they are going to come off....

Ok, well I'll just plain say that they have no experience with beadlocks and width of tire vs wheel width either.

I run a 13.5 in tire on a 8.5" wide beadlock wheel on my JK.... and they have no problem staying together even at 5 psi so I assure you, you're going to be golden with whatever tire you choose on those wheels.

They clearly don't know their own product because that wheel, when ran AS A BEADLOCK, is 8.5" wide.

Here is the mopar Beadlock’s with a 37X12.50R17LT mounted in the DOT side of the Beadlock at 8” rim width (8.5 in Beadlock side). No rubbing anywhere with the mopar 2” lift on JLUR.
Madpax - Your Jeep looks great! Post up a few more photos of it when you have a chance!

Madpax, you Jeep looks great. Ive been trying to find some pics of how much the tire sticks out past the fender on a Rubi with 37x12.s but have only found that pic with smaller tires. Any chance you could snap a pic or measure. I just don't want the tires totally tucked under.

Thx!

Sorry just noticed this. Here is a side view to kinda show how much they stick out. I didn’t measure but I’m guessing an inch to 1.5 max. There is also no rubbing full turn and through full articulation in the front and a small piece of plastic rubs in the back. Easily fixed though.
