My dealer is offering a 6 year / 60K Mopar Max Care warranty, with a 100% money back guarantee for $1400.

Supposedly, if you never use it, then you get your money back on the warranty.

Does anyone have any more information on this policy? Thoughts on whether it's worth it? Gotchas?

What if one only “partially” uses it?

Keep in mind your first 3 years are covered by the manufacturer, so essentially you are paying for 3 years of coverage, it is a good deal that if you don’t use it you get your money back after 6 years but you can’t file any claims against it, I would shop around with forum sponsors to get a quote to compare as I’m not aware what current prices are as mopar recently increased prices, depending on your driving etc I would consider a 8 yr plan so that you are purchasing 5 yr of extra coverage

See detail in attached pic, for requirements to meet the money back

I thought the “if you don’t use it” part of a warranty meant if you sell the Jeep before the 3/36 warranty expires then you can get your money back for the extended warranty because you were never “covered” by it.

Thats usually what that means (and how almost all extended warranties work)

Yeah I'm thinking there are some caveats. It's not clear if this actually replaces the factory warranty starting now. If that is the case, then if you ever took your vehicle in for any warranty work, even in the first 3 years, it would disqualify you from the refund.

I've decided not to purchase it, as my wife told me she will be my warranty. 🤣
