Can anyone who has installed one of the matte decals with a cutout in it confirm for me if that cutout area still reflects the sun? I like the 1941 decal but am curious if that cutout area is matte, but clear, or if it's just totally clear and i'll still get glare? Also, the hood decal with the star on it. If they still permit glare, then I may as well just go with the full coverage matte black decal. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have full, it was $37 on ebay, fits perfect.
I did it for the reflection too, didn't want anything cutout.

1941 is cool, but you still get reflection, and it is stupidly priced...$150 for a 2'x3' piece of vinyl should be illegal.

If you want a cutout...get the full version, then you can add a decal of the cutout on top of it

Awesome idea, thank you for the feedback. I totally agree on the stupid price, was hoping to find it elsewhere, ebay or something. I'll probably just do the same one you have. Again, I appreciate it!

I honestly haven't noticed any glare. But take it to a custom shop. Probably cheaper than $150. I know mine were. I did all my decals for $200, but I also live in a rural area, YMMV.

This is the 1941 decal I was talking about. https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/1941-hood-decal-jeep-wrangler-jl

Was hoping to find it on ebay or somewhere else for much less. I'll probably just go with the same decal w/o the 1941 stamped into it for less than $40. Then I can always put a 1941 sticker on it like @GreyFox has, just resized.
