Can some of you with manual transmissions let me know if you get a sound like this when you press your clutch pedal?

I have 2021 with ~3000 miles. I previously had a 2018 manual and don’t remember this sound at all.

Thanks!

I should note that I’m going to use this feedback with the dealer if they tell me it’s normal and everyone here says they don’t have this “issue”.

I would say that is NOT normal. Bring it in.

Nope never heard that, but I'm still on the break in. Have no idea what it could be, but If your under warranty, i'd get it documented for sure.

I appreciate the input.

I have a service visit scheduled for Friday. I’m just a little concerned that I’ll get told it’s normal by the service department. If they say that, I’ll use this info to push back with some confidence that it truly is abnormal.

Ask to see the TSB if they tell you it's normal. As in the trade service Bulletin. This way it is documented and you seen it and it won't drive you crazy thinking the guy is possibly blowing smoke up your butt

IMO it’s between a throw out bearing or an issue with the dual mass flywheel (out of balance or a bad spring?)
Good luck with your appointment. Like you said, you had a 2018 that never did this. I have a 2020, we've got guys here with '18, '19, '21 and none of us have this noise.

55k here. no noise on the Jeep. Now my Tacoma has 356k (about 120k on the clutch)on it and the throw out bearing sounds like that.

Sounds like the throwout bearing is defective or the pin holding it is wonky.
Hopefully it's not the input shaft that is out of tolerance.

I guess it's not going to cost you anything either way. So you have that going for you, which is nice.
