Starting to feel the same as well.

My only concern would be how aggressive the tune is and the long-term health of the engine given that they are pushing 39 more wheel horsepower than Edelbrock, or more notably, 155 more crank horses than stock. That said, I spoke with someone at Magnuson, and they said they are only pushing out 7 PSI of boost, which (as long as they aren't pushing crazy amounts of timing or something) is IMO perfectly reasonable and in line with many other aftermarket supercharger applications on higher compression engines.

cth16, have you tested out the Magnuson on ESS extensively? How is it, is it smooth?
Yes, ESS works as designed and very smooth.

Curious to see some video of them in action. I want to hear it also!

Also, what is the approximate install time on the kit?
Install time takes longer than JK kit. Approximately 12-15 hours.

So you ran the kit on your JK too?
Magnuson kit install time on JK was approximately 8 hours. The JL kit takes longer to install due to new design of both SC and Jeep.

Do we have any videos of this kit in action? I want to hear the whine and see the acceleration.

I wonder if they had the forethought to think about people running PSC Steering systems.
About to find out..... unless someone else has already

Hi all ,
I’m in SoCal and getting real serious about doing this supercharger anybody else serious maybe we can get a couple members and do the installs together. Just feeling if there’s any interest in something like that. I’m fully mechanically capable I have the tools. I’ve been debating back-and-forth because you get that warranty if they do it. If you buy the kit for $6495 they install price is $750. any thoughts

I have done a magnuson sc install on a Toyota before. I would wait a bit if I were you to get some real world feedback on the tune. The warranty is probably only good if installed by a ASE mechanic just an fyi.

Someone needs to come out with a real exhaust for the JL. One 2.5" exhaust pipe is too damn small especially when boosted. Not to mention my old 454 had bigger primaries coming off each cylinder then the Y-pipe on the JL.
