Just purchased these wheels (pic below) but with the -11 offset. Anyway when I tried to mount the spare the inside on the wheel, (at the center center) made contact with (butted up against) the spare carrier but the studs were still inside the center of the stud holes, really far back, no where close to sticking out. The lugs I have are way to big to fit inside the holes in the wheels so as of now I have the stock wheel mounted. I also noticed the wheel doesn’t sit as close to the tailgate as the stock does and isn’t hitting the bump stops.

Looking for something I may have missed. Maybe I did something wrong?

Thanks.

What size tire are you running? Assuming you're running 35's or greater, you're going to need a tailgate re-enforcement bracket that pushes the studs out further. Many use the Mopar kit, but there are plenty of options now.

I am running these. I think it equals a 33.

What's the backspacing on that wheel? If you're ever going to lift it, you really want to run something around 4.5 inches of backspacing. Search Google and/or these forums for "backspacing" and you'll likely find some good data.

This is a calculator that I use: https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

Based on your wheel and tire combination, it looks like you're backspacing is just slightly over 4 inches. The stock backspacing is roughly 6.2 inches (Rubicon). I'm guessing this variance, when applied to a stock tire carrier's dimensions, aren't measuring out.

I’ll definitely do some searching in the morning. Not sure if it matters but I have the sport that had the steel tires.

You need tuner lugs.... splines.
Now I just have to find them in sets of just 3. I will obviously order the whole packaged if needed. I found them for 30 bucks on Quadratec so not to outrageous. Thanks for the help, I thought I may have done something wrong since the tire doesn't hit the bump stops either.

Thanks again,

I got these from 4wp, but I needed them for 5 wheels + a couple extras. They have sets of 5 & 6.

Your tire won't reach the bump stop with the extra offfset. You can cure that for under $10 at Home Depot or Lowes with some chair tips & pvc/risers.

See #19072, 73... others use different methods, but this was inexpensive & works lovely.
